My cat’s birthday was about a week ago and I got her a couple of new toys and a bag of her favorite treats.

We have two dogs, and we actively celebrate their birthdays.  We normally buy them a special gift, usually in the form of a toy or a clothing item.  We also arrange a play date for them with a friend’s or family member’s dog, and then we take them all to the pet cafe’ to pick out some homeade treats. Nothing too elaborate.

I would totally have a party for my cat but he’s not exactly social. He stalks and bites people and would probably attack any other animal than his companion…

Anyways, I voted for “don’t know actual day of birth but celebrates another day…” because he was a stray kitten and I just kind of made up a birthday for him.

My dog doesn’t have friends, just us, but if he did I would totally invite them over. I spoil him hardcore on his birthday though.. he gets everything he wants on his birthday.

I have always had cats without known birthdays who have viewed toys with utter contempt. These birthday parties are generally for the human’s benefit rather than the animal’s.

My cat turned three this year. She got a can of her favorite food (It’s prescription food and expensive, so she doesn’t get it every day), but other than that… it was no big deal.

I fully plan on making or buying a little doggy cake for my dogs birthday and of coarse a few presents. It would just be a night at home with my husband. It wouldn’t be a full blown party. I never really celebrated my cats birthday before growing up but being me and my DH first pet together he feels like our baby lol and we love to spoil him. Plus he loves treats and getting new toys so it is something that would make him so happy.

We do birthdays for Sophie, my cat. She turned five this year, and usually we get her some new toys or some sort of present – even if it’s only a cool box to play in or something. She gets to eat extra treats, and we make sure to play with her and give her lots of extra love.

We don’t involve other people though. Just DH and I. ; )

We get them an extra special treat. In fact we have no idea when their birthday is. Its just a guess. Love my furbabies 🙂

My dog always gets extra treats and toys on his birthday and on Christmas. He deserves presents too 🙂

I did have a birthday party for my dog one year, but it was kind of a “hey friends, come over for a cookout and bring your dog”.  We did wear birthday hats though.

Now since we have three dogs, we just get special treats for all of them every time there is a birthday.

I have two dogs who are my babies and both of them have Birthdays in November. They always get a toy, new treat (usually a bone or something), and extra long walk.

ETA: They both get this on each birthday, I could never leave one of them out!

I went to a dog’s birthday party a couple months ago. Everyone brought the dog presents & the owners actually had a special dog cake treat thingy made at an expensive bakery that also makes dog treats. The dog was LOVING getting all the attention. He was pretty much getting cuddled by everyone and he was in heaven. And then all the families got together too, so I didn’t think there was anything wrong with it! And for the humans they got a big cake with the dog’s picture on it 🙂

We always get our dog a treat (either a bone or stuffed animal), and sometimes put it in a gift bag for her to pull it out of, but we don’t typically bake a cake/have an actual party.
