Hi bees,
This is really just a bit of cheeky ring nosiness, forgive me. We've been having a discussion over here about the custom of married women wearing two rings (both their wedding and engagement rings) together on the same finger. I think it's what the majority does but it seems a little odd to me - not sure why. My SO also never noticed in his life that anyone wears two rings on the same finger so I'd like to show him some images. Married bees who wear both their rings on the same finger, would you please be so kind as to post pictures for me to show my SO? Also, whether you wear two rings or not, I'd be interested to hear people's different reasons as to why they either do or don't wear two rings.
Thanks!
I wear both of my rings on the same finger. I wear them everyday & love them together!

Sure, here is my set. I wear both because I want to look married and I love them together.
I wear three rings. 1 ering and 2 wedding bands all on the same finger. I originally planned to wear 1 wedding band with the ering as it is customary around here. But, I couldn't find 1 wedding band that I thought looked nice with my ering and there were no ring wraps/guards that I liked or that even fit around my thick flat ering. I was/am too cheap to consider getting something custom made. Being at my wits end trying to find SOMETHING that worked, a jeweler suggested two bands to simulate the look of a wrap and voila!
I wear two rings, my engagement ring as it is so sentimental and pretty and my wedding ring. I am getting an eternity ring for the birth of our first child but because i have very short fingers I will wear the eternity ring in place of the wedding ring.

Totally wear mine together and on the same hand.

Except when I work... since the e-ring was DH's great grandmother's and I would DIE if anything happened to it(and because this band is too oddly shaped to wear alone), I wear a different band to work. This is it:

Sooooo technically I have three rings! lol
@Mrs.tobe: & I LOVE all three of them! I remember reading your story on how you found your wedding band & did not have to have one made! AMAZING!!!!!
@Mrs.Estep: Awww, thank youso much! Yeah, it was fate for sure, I had given up finding anything other than custom that would fit that ring. It's like they were made foreach other!
I wear my two together. It just doesnt even feel right anymore without the wedding band.

I will be wearing both my rings on the same finger. Here they are:

I wear both mine because.... thats what people do? lol. It looks "normal" to me to wear them this way :)

Mine are soldered together so I always wear both of them. My E-ring is more modern ... my wedding band was my grandmother's ... but I still LOVE them together.
I wear mine together - I actually have three as DH likes things symmetrical, go figure, Mr. Engineer has to have things balanced! :-) I had thought I might just occasionally wear one or both of the wedding bands at times without the e-ring but as of yet, I've had no desire to do so.
I wear the together because I thought that's what was customary..and I love the look of it!
I will wear mine together. I hope we can upgrade the wedding band to a pave soon, but plain is it for now. I will wear them both together most of the time. I have a thicker band as my back-up.

I wear both together. My wedding band is curved so it looks a bit funny by itself but it was also bought that way to fit with my e-ring. To me it would feel weird to wear my e-ring on my other hand and I wouldn’t feel right not wearing it at all seeing as it’s a symbol of my husband’s love and commitment to me (it was completely all his decision to propose to me/I was not expecting it at all) and he spent money and effort on it. I also couldn’t wear my e-ring without my wedding band because I feel that the band is what symbolizes the marriage (not saying everyone has to do this, just my preference for myself).

I wear mine together on the same finger, but I selected a wedding band that I would love by itself if I ever decide to wear it alone. (Very recently, I also added a slim anniversary band to wear on the other side of my engagement ring, so I actually wear three rings on the same finger now. However, the anniversary band is, obviously, not pictured below.)

@VickyAurea: Hi!! I just got engaged, so I'm nowhere near being married, but I wanted to share! I will definitely wear my wedding band with my e-ring!
I don't have a wedding ring yet either but I wanted to share. I dont think I'll be wearing my rings together ALL the time, but definitely often. Im so used to seeing women only wear their wedding ring after getting married, I find it natural to only wear one the majority of the time.
I will wear both of mine together when we are married. Mostly because it's customary here, but also because my wedding band is made to sit with my halo e-ring and would look weird without it.

It might be more of a "tradition" to wear both rings on each hand, that is, unless your engagement ring serves as both. I got two rings that I plan on wearing on my left hand. My right hand finger is about a size 5 and my left hand finger is a size 4.75, so it makes sense for me to wear them on one finger and I can't just swap them because of the size difference. Whatever and however someone wears their rings, they're going to be beautiful nonethless! :)
I wear both together. There has been talk of getting a "sparkly band" in a larger size that I can wear while pregnant...so I may end up with a triple stack with the "sparkly band" at the bottom, so the smaller rings "lock it in" when I'm not pregnant/have swollen hands.

Thanks so much for sharing, everyone! All of your rings look lovely, though this has helped me to realise that maybe I am just not a "two ring" kinda girl. I never wear rings at all so it'll be enough of a shock to my system to wear one. That doesn't mean I can't appreciate how nice yours are and love the sentiment behind them; thanks again for sharing.
Here are my two together. I wear them together except for when horseback riding. When I ride I leave my e-ring at home.
And here's my band by itself:
@KatNYC2011: Yeah, I definitely like just the band - it looks really simple and beautiful alone. I understand why everyone wears two though.
@VickyAurea: I am thinking of getting 1 or 2 other bands and just wearing stacked bands most of the time and saving my e-ring for special occasions.
Once I get a new set of bands I'll be sure to post.
I actually don't have any photos of them both on my finger just yet since I won't be married until August, but here's a photo how they will look together. I do plan to wear them both when we're married for a few reasons 1)because the wedding band curves and doesn't look right on its own... 2) he spent the money on the e-ring and I never want to stop wearing it 3) that's what people do here..

@peaches13: that was the plan for me too, but then I was able to wear my regular rings up until 8 months of being pregnant; and after that, we didn't see the point of buying a new one since I will get to wear mine again so soon... I always thought I'd swell, but turns out I didn't.
I wear two rings because no one "got" that my engagement ring was an engagement ring, so having the wedding band attached helps establish the purpose. I got tired of hearing "What a pretty birthstone ring!" when it's not my birthstone. :P
