    @Duncan: I should leave your serious thread (well, at least initially) and comment here instead! I’m tired today, which means that I have WAY less filters than usual. Think I should spend the long weekend sleeping in. Like hibernating. 🙂

    But anyway, I’ll add on to the previous idea – I think it should totally be referred to as The Red Wedding. Dress code, chain-mail.

    Oh, and I voted for the last option – serious, that invitation thread went down hill as fast as I don’t know what!

    @Duncan: Oooh… Teenage girls all over the world hate you right now! That wasn’t supposed to be public knowledge!

    And I’m sorry. Perhaps you could re-post it, I feel that any serious person wouldn’t really want to help once they get to the super-soaker.

    @eocenia:  ha!  That’s both hilarious and dark….

    @Duncan:  Or how about a Sweet Transvestite from Transsexual Transylvania wedding?  The first dance can be the Time Warp.

    @Duncan:  In real life, there was that Paula Dean plantation wedding thing where she wanted the wait staff to be middle aged african-american men Dressed as slaves (I think?). I find the idea of plantation style weddings a little offensive in general, really.

    I think I just nudged this thread down quite a dark path. Nice job, ruby-redshoes.

    ETA: I think I found the perfect period wedding dress.

    @Duncan:  I suppose it would follow from the “slaves” idea that one could have an extreme BDSM-themed wedding. You know, naked slave-women on leashes bringing out the food and keepings wine glasses full? I’m sure Grandma would LOVE it!!!

    @Duncan:  Sorry, I was on my ipad. I reposted on my computer, sorry it’s so big.

    And if you were having a plantation wedding like that, I doubt you’d have any non-white friends.
