I definitely became acquainted with the term “Ring Porn” through WB.

The first time I saw that in a title I was like… ‘Wait… Ring WHAT?!’

the term “ring porn” (never heard it till this site)

the girl who was a swinger and totally nice about explaining why it worked for her.

the regular threads about someone saying their ring is too small, and watching the explosion that happens every single time.

Around here a BM is not something you do in the bathroom

I only know stories we aren’t allowed to talk about.   I  cracked up the first time I saw STD and what it meant.  People stared at me at work.

ETA: the ONLY stories that are coming to mind are those ones lol

That STDs and BMs do not mean what the non-WB world thinks they mean! That’s a very common one, along with what @rachelmichelle: said about ring porn!

Moissy and other non-diamond e-rings are much more commonplace and heard of here, I’d literally never heard of moissy till joining WB.

The people leaving to be snarky might not be as well known now, I’m trying to remember exactly how long ago that was…a more recent one I can think of was the scandal around who I’ll just refer to as the Canadian Casey Anthony.

And as far as dress regret goes, anyone who’s been through it (especially multiple times like I did) knows that pengoala will be along very soon with some reassuring nice words for you.

@HisIrishPrincess:  Agree about the STD term. I remember balking when I read a thread titled “When to give out STDs??”

@Miss Circe:  The first one I saw was, “Come look at my STDS.”

I was like, um, shouldn’t you be at a clinic for that?

@Swizzle:  the regular threads about someone saying their ring is too small, and watching the explosion that happens every single time.

Oh yeha, that’s a good one too…knowing that it’s just a really bad idea and WILL blow up in your face if you post about thinking your ring is too small (especially if your ring is like 1-2 carats already, which always seems to be the case on those threads), or about wanting to not invite a serious SO of someone who will be attending your wedding, or being mad because your BMs can’t spend hundreds to travel to your bachelorette party…I could go on, but I think you get the idea lol.

I’m pretty new to the boards, but I’ve found the following to always be true:

  • You look great in your dress
  • Your ring is awesome
  • No one wants your non-edible favor
  • No, you don’t have to invite them
