The not-liking-chocolate and foods you hate threads were fun so I thought I'd take a different approach:

What foods do you absolutely love that most people hate?

I love sardines, brussel sprouts and all shellfish (except lobster - go figure).

Most people I know seem to dislike cottage cheese.  I can't eat large amounts of it but I definitely think it's good.  I also love sour cream which a lot of people around me don't seem to like.

I love brussel sprouts, whats not to like?! I also like shellfish and cauliflower. I'm not picky at all, I bet I like 90% of what ends up getting mentioned on this thread.

I loooove liver pudding and coarse liver sausage. It smells awful but it is soooo good. My dad and I could devour a 5 pound chunk of coarse liver sausage with crackers in a weekend easy. I love that stuff so much. :( Sadly, I can only find it in Cincinnati and I live 10 hours away now.

Get ready because I am WEIRD!

Bone Marrow, polenta, cow brains, tripe and raw oysters. My husband gets a kick watching me orgasm as I eat these things while he would rather be eaten alive by ants than have any of it, lol!

Oh, I forgot Rabbit and rabbit liver. I'm sure there's more but  I probably hit my gross limit for the day!

Tofu. Plain white tofu with soy sauce + lime juice + Thai chilli with rice noodles. FI eat that with me sometimes, but I wouldn't say it's his choice of food for dinner.

Oh yeah.. I love rabbit, any kind of liver (and liver pate), sweet breads (i.e. pancreas), gizzard, heart, and I'd probably love other organ meats too.

FI thinks I am SO gross when I pile toast up with pate.

    Yum yum yum pate!

It might be a MD thing...FF with ranch and Old Bay.

    Sour cream in spaghetti.

Lots of garlic in almost everything. Food should have flavor!

This thread makes me sick to my stomache. What is polenta?

Umm, mine aren't even wierd, let's see.....

I love pepperoncini peppers. I can eat a whole jar. but I don;t think thats unusual, as they are always sold out.

Guess I'm not very "original".. haha

@mightywombat: Are you one of those wierdos that doesn't like sour cream? ;) My friend is like that, no sour cream, no mayo, no pudding...nothing with that texture.

And for those that do like sour cream as I tell my son regularly...Don't knock it till you've tried it....lol

I'm incredibly picky.  I did some research and found that I'm a "super-taster" (Google it:) so I hate more food than I like.  But what I do love that makes a lot of people gag is sour cream, cream cheese and goat cheese.  I can eat all three of those by themselves, no crackers or bread needed.

I love broccoli, califlower and asparagus.  Not too crazy "out there" or anything but they are certainly veggies that make most people's "don't like" list.

@Cash000: Polenta is corn meal flour, whisked until it becomes pudding-like or kind of like cream of wheat. In our culture, we top it with tomato sauce! Some people also prefer the hardened version that serves the same purpose as paris toast I would say.

uh....i guess grapefruit? i don't feel like that's a weird thing to like, but all my friends hate it. and then i found out it's because the only grapefruit they've ever been exposed to is of the not ruby-red variety. XD

@Just_Squeeze: You and me need to get together and eat some food.

I like pretty much every vegetable on the spectrum, and I also love pickled eggs (pickled anything, really), organ meats, beets and horseradish, hulushki, raw beef, and just about anything else under the sun.

I love lima beans- I like to put Red Hot on them. Which leads to my next food love that most people don't handle well- SPICY. And I mean really, really spicy food. I eat hot peppers raw or pickled out of the jar and put crushed red pepper on about 90% of my food. Delicious!

@MrsCarnival: Have you ever tried raw hamburger out of the package? I grew up eating it and it gets a serious yuck factor from most people.
