I feel weird for some of my dislikes, but these are my strongest:
I really hate raisins. I love dried cranberries and stuff, but raisins make my skin crawl and the thought of them in my mouth makes me want to puke.
Avocado, and pretty much all seafood. There are some types of fish I will eat, but I never really enjoy them all that much.
mushrooms, raisins, things with weird textures I guess? yuck!!
Tomatoes, unless they are pureed or something. It's very odd, because I love tomato sauce and salsa (as long as they aren't too chunky!), but tomatoes themselves freak me out. I think its the texture. If I bite into a sandwich without knowing there's a tomato slice in it, it takes everything in me to not actually throw up!
I hate chicken salad too...
but here is my list
Seafood, especially the raw one. I have a hard time eating shrimps.
Cheese, other than pizza and hambuguer.
I struggle with vegetables, like I don't like tomato in my burguer and I can't stand onions or pickles..
OMG I can go on and on..
All seafood, raw tomatos, mayo, ranch, lunch meat, broccoli, raw onions, rhubarb, coleslaw, asparagus, seaweed, and low-fat cheese.
CHEESE. I hate it, unless it's on pizza.
Mushrooms.
Brats.
Steak.
Cream puffs.
Mayo.
I'm a super picky eater so there are a lot of things, but those are the main ones that always surprise people- especially when you're in Wisconsin and cheese and brats are pretty much food groups :P
Watermelon. Can't stand the smell, the texture, everything. Never have but I have no idea why.
I eat anything, but I prefer to not eat anthing supre processed. (IE canned soups, especially "cream of", even pasta, american cheese, premade tomato sauce etc...)
TUNA!
Gag me with a freakin' spoon. I make DH make it if he wants it for lunch, and also make him gargle and brush his teeth after he eats it.
The smell just... ICK. Making me nauseous just thinking about it!
I take offense to this post. All food is WONDERFUL! Which is why I'm finding it impossible to lose this weight I gained!
I'm not a fan of mayonaise but I'll eat it. Only thing I truely hate is cuttlefish and conch.
Tuna Salad. Sweet Pickles and Pickle Relish. That's all I can think of right now, usually I'm down for just about anything.
I've never been a fan of green beans, but I force myself to eat them on occasion.
Calamari isn't very good
Soda.... the smell alone makes me want to vomit
Roe (fish eggs) on sushi rolls also makes me want to gag
gefelte fish is disgusting also
Any sushi, or raw fish
shrimp, unless it's breaded
mushrooms
peas
I love tomatoes, but not in salads or on hamburgers
@sarahbabs: i am exactly the same way! i love SMOOTH tomato/pasta sauce, ketchup, not-too-chunky-salsa (i always skim the top, lol) but HATE tomatos "intact".
I call these my sworn food enemies:
tunafish
ketchup
yellow mustard (spicy chinese mustard or honey mustard is usually OK)
celery!!!!!!! Everyone says it doesn't taste like anything, but I can spot it anywhere!!! blegh!
and peas.
Shredded cheese. I love regular cheese, but the packaged shredded stuff just icks me out for some reason. Also lunch meat.
Mayo. Just everything about it. Also any pudding that hasn't come directly from a pre packaged cup.
I like pretty much all food. Some I like more than others, but I can't think of anything that is downright repulsive to me.
A lot of the people have mentioned they hate are some of the foods I really fancy! Fish eggs, sauerkraut, seafood/shellfish, pickles, asparagus, spicy food, etc. YUM!
I do agree with lefeymw, I prefer to avoid super-processed stuff.
Cheetos, Doritos, Fritos....anything that ends in -tos I guess. Oh and Sun Chips. They always remind me of being carsick for some reason.
Pickles. UGH. I have to totally take the bread off of any sandwich they touch - so gross.
I also hate tomatoes unless they're pureed to high heaven, and peppers (although I love dried red pepper, like cayenne, flakes, etc... just can't do the real deal).
KIWIS! My gosh, they are the worst, I can't even go near them. The thought of eating one... *shudder* I have tried on a few occasions to like them, but alas, I cannot. The texture is too much for me!
Red onions upset my stomach/throat, but other than that, there's not much I won't eat!
@abbyful: Those are some of my favorites too! Want to have a dinner party with me
I really like all foods, I'm not picky. But the the one thing I will never get is coleslaw...why??
@PitBulLover: mmm love cabbage! I prefer mine to be made with greek yogurt, but there are so many flavor variations of cole slaw! I made one for fish tacos the other night with mexican crema, cilantro, lime, cumin, garlic salt, shredded carrot, cabbage and radish. yum!
I can stand food, but that doesn't mean I'm going to eat it without a fight.
I don't like soup, pasta (or any type of noodle), mayonaise, mushrooms, gravy and I'm sure there's plenty others. I don't care for marinaras, cream-based or otherwise white sauces aren't appreciated either. I can tolerate dark meat chicken, but I'd rather not. I don't understand people who eat the fat off of a steak. The thought always turns my stomach. "Southern"/"Soul" food doesn't really do it for me either. I can't stand fatty meat in my veggies. (great, now I'm feeling all sorts of ill) Some things, I just won't touch, even if I've never had a bad experience with them.
People ask me how I exist. I usually tell them "by eating your brussels sprouts."
I always feel rude when someone serves me one of these things, and either I pick at it or eat it really slowly. Of course they ask what's wrong, and my only reply is "this isn't something that I care for, but I appreciate that you've made/ordered it, so I'm going to at least try eating it".
I've recently discovered my love for bleu cheese. I didn't like it when I was younger.
@sugarcube: Yay! I'm not the only one!
There really isn't anything I don't like anymore. My tastes have changed so much since I was younger, things I used to hate I actually love now.
Cold pasta salads and eggs not fully cooked (ie. Runny, over easy) seeing an egg like that being eaten makes me gag a little. Bleh!
