I am doing a spinoff off the thread:
What gift do you hate getting?
I am noticing that a lot of members don’t like receiving gifts such as candles, lotions, shower gels, etc. So now I am sort of curious of the gifts you do enjoy receiving from family members or friends. =)

I actually do enjoy candles, especially holiday-themed ones (though I hate bath products). But some of my favorite gifts:
-anything edible or drinkable: I LOVE gift packages with food, especially good cheese, summer sausages, wine, etc. Actually a bottle of wine is always a great gift for me!
-Sweaters (as long as they’re in my size, obviously): I love a good sweater!
-Pajamas. Can never have too many!
-Owls. I collect them!
-Anything for the kitchen; cookbooks.
-Anything sweet and personal: like a scrapbook, pictures, a sweet hand-written letter. Honestly, I’d take a sweet letter or card over any gift if it has a really meaningful message!

Things I’ve asked for. Or if it is a more generic thing, baked goods, a nice scarf, a lap blanket, or gift cards..

@AB Bride: I love that you said fun pens. =)
Hm, I guess gifts I love to receive are:

- Gift cards
- Kitchen items
- Home decor

Oh, also tea, but DH hates it as he thinks I have too much 🙂

You know what I would love right now? A Starbucks gift card. Haha.

-expensive personal care items I wouldn’t buy for myself, like Sugar lip gloss or Philosophy stuff
-teeshirts, as long as they fit
-gift cards for events/movie theaters/etc. It’s hard to make myself spend money on experiences, even though I know it’s better than stuff.

I appreciate any gift given even if its something I cant use or dont personally like. I know that someone thought of me when they chose it. The lotions I cant use I give to my daughter and she loves them which makes me happy.
