@Sunnyday278:  I love hilarious costumes! I once saw a couple as Richard Simmons and Jane Fonda.

And a group as “The Nightman Cometh” cast from “It’s Always Sunny In Philidelphia”…just anything creative!

This is more of a general one, but I love it when people try to stay in character with thier costume.  It’s fun to see people get really into it, and I think that energy rubs off on other people at a get-together.  I go to a music festival every year on Halloween weekend and one year I remember a guy dressed up as Hunter S. Thompson who absolutely nailed the voice and mannerisms.  He even had a flyswatter and would wave it around randomly or hit his friends with it.  He was fun to watch.

Also, every time I see people dress up as the Yip Yip aliens from Sesame Street, I start laughing hysterically.  They just look so hilarious!

I’m a big fan of when girls venture outside the normal “slutty” costume and go for something incredibly funny or incredibly gory.

Last year, we did a dark version of Alice and The Hatter…this year is even creepier, in my opinion, and involves a fair amount of fake blood 🙂

I have a thing for infants dressed as pumpkins. We always get a few of them every year. It’s like the same feeling you get when you see a cute puppy. Awwwww 🙂

@Sunnyday278:  In high school, I was in marching band. Every year, the week of Halloween, my marching band and the rival marching band would have a Halloween party together before the football game… there would be food, games, and of course a costume contest! It was the one show where we didn’t have to wear our uniforms because we could march in our costumes. Anyways, I won the costume contest. I made myself a Post Box costume. The front flap even served as a table to hold my snacks during the party! hahaha.

Needless to say, it was kind of hard to manuver and especially march while playing a clarinet, but it was SO worth it. I’d say 75% of all the people that were at that football game came up to me to tell me how awesome my costume was.

Here is a picture, but this is from an old flip phone from about 8 years ago, so the quality is terrible!

(also, since this IS a wedding board… that is my sisters’s wedding picture hanging on the wall 😛 )

@Aquaria:  I totally agree. Babies dressed as pumpkins. I know it’s not terribly original, but I cannot wait until I have a baby and can dress him up!

@Sunnyday278:  I know people who dressed up as ‘The Evolution of Madonna’ and wore outfits from various periods (Material Girl, Like a Virgin, Ray of Light, and another one that I can’t remember), I was duct tape once – that was a hit, anyone who really puts in a lot of effort always impresses me.
