I was inspired by the recent housecleaning thread, and did a re-organizing of my kitchen… I had to get rid of some small appliances and non -essentials to make room for a microwave!
I have a junk drawer and it’s filled with “stuff”… lone batteries, paperclips, pens, receipts, a bracelet? (why is that not in the jewelry box?) nails, screws, CD’s? (are they playable now?)
What’s in your junk drawer? If you’re not easily embarassed, show us a picture! If you are super organized and have a “perfect” junk drawer, show us that too!

For me, I think a more appropriate question is: what isn’t in my junk drawer? 🙂

I don’t have a junk drawer …
I guess I’m a little OCD like that.

We have a junk drawer in our kitchen too. It has pens, random receipts, and concert tickets that I don’t want to misplace…

pens, sticky notes, a few screw drivers, a roll of tape, sharpie marker and dry erase marker for our calendar on our fridge, tea light candles, and a few small paint brushes, phone and ipod chargers!

Which one? Hahaha We have about 3 junk drawers. One in the computer desk, one in the bedroom, and one in the kitchen.
They just accumulate stuff- Pens, lots of papers, coupons, change, etc. It’s terrible, but at least it’s all out of sight!

@iheartnerds: My thoughts exactly! Haha.
Ok, I’m lame and totally went to look in our junk drawer when I saw this 😉 hehe.
The most random thing I found when I looked was an old, half-consumed [and probably stale] package of cookies and cream “milk straws” buried under the lone batteries, pens and other random items. First, I laughed because I feel like those are something that little kids would love and I find it hilarious that my husband had purchased them and then I realized how gross it was that they were buried in the junk drawer. Ew.

Basically anything that’s either ‘in transition’ (like a receipt for somethign we might return, fabric samples for something we’re making, etc.). We have a container with some pens so they dont’ get all over the place, scotch tape, scissors and a tape measurer.
We’re good about going through mail right away, so there’s never mail int he drawer. And everything else has a designated place for the most part.
