The above-mentioned thread made me wonder what else some of us believe in.
I believe in ghosts and maybe demons because I and some family members have had some pretty strange experiences. I also think aliens could be real and I’m hoping sasquatch is 🙂
What “scary” thing do you believe in and why?

1. Hanging your foot over the bed WILL incite a monster attack – Proof of this fact resides in the overwhelming feeling of wrongess one is subjected to, should an errant foot find its way out of the covers and over the side.
2. I believe in mermaids because they are awesome and I would totally be one should they ever start recruiting….
3. I believe in Goat Man….people in Kentucky have seen him…that’s good enough for me

@Nona99: Yes!! Goatman! My aunt used to scare the ever-loving shit out of me and my younger cousin. She’d tell us that if we kept running back and forth between her house and my nana’s that Goatman and Donkey Lady would get us :-p

@badabing88: …wait….there’s a DONKEY LADY????
And no one said anything?
Where have I been all this time, all we have here in Colorado are bears and mountain men

Not much! I don’t know what to think about ghosts. I hear people tell these stories and swear things happened but I’ve never seen or heard anything. I’m also not sure I even believe in souls so…how could I believe in ghosts? I feel like people that already believe in it or are open to it are the ones that have these experiences. Coincidence? I don’t think so (IMO). I know this one girl who is really into ghosts and wouldn’t you know, she’s just had all sorts of experiences! Guess if I start to believe in ghosts I would have to believe in spirits/souls.
Demons? Absolutely not. Aliens, yeah I could get on board with that. It’s a very large universe after all!
The only really scary thing…people. I also believe in lots of scary deepwater creatures. Have you LOOKED at some of those pictures?!

@Nona99: LMAO, she added Donkey Lady on for effect, I think :-p
@kes18: I’m so with you on the things in the water. I cannot swim to save my life and prefer to stay well away from anything deeper than my ankles. My boyfriend doesnt believe in ghosts either, and I always tease him and say that if he keeps talking smack to me, HE’LL be the one that sees something spooky and no one will believe him 😉

Oh man this thread is going be good!! I believe in Spirits.

@badabing88: …I’m so crushed….no hits on google either….damn, that would have been AMAZING!
Oh well, here’s Horse Man- he’s totally real and can be seen quite easily at their Renaissance Faire every summer….

@Nona99: I’m sure whoever took that photo cropped out the hoards of women throwing themselves at him.

@badabing88: This is a good topic….I try not to let my mind wander though or I end up freaking myself out somehow.
I’d say that I believe in spirits and other life forms. When I took astronomy as an elective, our professor was an outrageously brilliant guy and it was his true passion. The way he explained the universe, from an academic/scientific perspective, was enough to convince me that there has to be something somewhere out there!

@badabing88: …well…he IS half horse and it is the BOTTOM half…so you know what that means!

@Nona99: You crack me the Eff Up!
I also strongly agree that hanging your feet off the bed is definitly an invitation to dinner for the bumpity bump night timers! And walking across the room to your bed in the dark after turning off the lights is a serious No No.

@badabing88: Is there any particular reason you want sasquatch to be real?
I believe in spirits and I don’t believe that all of them are friendly (call them angel and demons or whatever you want).
I also believe that there is probably other life forms in the universe. Are they like the “aliens” as we portray them? Probably not. But the universe is too vast, IMO, for us to be the only ones there.
