Just for fun, let's see how everyone compares! If you want to take the test, here is where I took mine http://www.humanmetrics.com/cgi-win/JTypes1.htm.
I am an ESFP :)
ETA: Once you've taken the test, do you think its accurate? Did you do it more for your home or work personality? Do you know of a different link where we could take it for free? Anyone heard of the "Z" type?
ISTJ. (Also what I consider to be the most "boring" personality... [although reliable, if that's what you're looking for] :-D )
ISFJ for me. I'd say it's mostly accurate - although I'm a bit different in my work environment vs. social or family so I think I confused it by answering some questions from one perspective and others from another!
Definitely an introvert though, definitely, definitely!
@hisgoosiegirl: I think that's my problem too, I was mixing up personal and professional life, because I'm pretty sure I used to be an ESFJ
ESFJ today, but when I took it a while back, I was an ENFJ. Maybe I'm having an off mood day. I will say, like PPs, my work personality is a bit different than my personal personality. (Wow, that wasn't redundant, ha!)
ETA: Both are classified as givers, with ESFJ being "caregiver", and ENFJ just being "giver". The main difference between the two, is that the S is more influenced by external goings on, as opposed to the N, which relies more on intuition. I'm much more intuitive, so again, I must be having an off day.
@hisgoosiegirl: I'm ISFJ too.
I think it is pretty accurate.
ENFJ is me
the link didnt work but i did a search for human metrics and found the site!
@MrsSl82be: I took it again to be more personal focused and got the same thing, lol. But I'm definitely more outgoing and communicative on here and with my friends IRL. But at work I'm a pretty different person, IMO.
Our HR does a test when they hire you, and they used mine from when I was an intern and it said that I was very dominant and somewhat controlling. I laughed, because when I had taken it, I was VP of our club, editor of our yearbook, and super-involved with a lot of stuff, and I was a senior. So I was - younger members looked up to me and I helped drive a lot of stuff and was very involved with decision-making. But now at my big kid job, I'm a low man on the totem pole and I pretty much keep my head down and try to get my stuff done. So very, very, different from when I first took that personality test!
@KatNYC2011: woot! wow, I can see how it would be hard for you to make new friends living in the UK then, if you're anything like me! I'd pretty go to the library, get a bunch of books and call it socializing!
ENTJ- the cold, heartless executive- pretty much spot on :)
@BayStateBride: thanks! Its always interesting and an easy way to figure out how people operate :)
@hisgoosiegirl: Haha yup... it takes me way out of my comfort zone, but I'm trying my best.
I had some interviews today and it felt good to actually talk with people.
I do well if I have a reason to be talking with them, but it's hard to just go and introduce myself to strangers!
INFP here
Edit: says my careers should be in counselling.... I'm a settlement worker which is like a councellor/social worker for immigrants.... so i guess this thing is about right
INFJ and I think it describes me pretty well. I'm a weird combination of intuitive and pragmatic.
@KatNYC2011: yep, once I get to know people, it's all good. but getting through all the awkward pauses and trying to learn about someone is not my strong suit.
Hope your interviews went well!
ISFJ. I think it's really accurate. I can be kind of introverted and a little judging and I definitely go off of emotions.
@Future Mrs. Martin: Thanks!
I'm INFJ.
@tranquility: Welcome back.... missed you around here. I'll PM you.
Okay, I discovered that I'm probably ISFJ rather than INFJ :) The test must've been off for me on that category.
ESFP..wow, says I love to talk. That's nothing new. :)
ESFPs love to talk to people about people. Some of the most colorful storytellers are ESFPs. Their down-to-earth, often homespun wit reflects a mischievous benevolence.
Almost every ESFP loves to talk. Some can be identified by the twenty minute conversation required to ask or answer a simple factual question.
So, here is a link with great descriptors http://www.keirsey.com/4temps/overview_temperaments.asp. I think I am more of an ENFP after reading that
if i remember correctly, INFJ
ETA: wow, good memory! i took this years ago and just retook it and sure enough i got the same - INFJ. i went from 99% introverted down to 78% though, so it looks like i've made some progress.
INTJ: I took this test 8 years ago and got the same answer. It is exactly my personality.
