I was reading another thread about what to do the day before the wedding and it got me thinking about when a good time is to have the rehearsal dinner. I thought it was common to do it the night before, but it looks like a lot of people do it a week before. When did you or are you planning to have yours?

We’re having a rehersal lunch the day before – worked better with everyone’s schedules, and I’m happy because it gives me the rest of the day to relax and do any last minute things!

I think we’re doing ours the night before. We’re setting up some stuff the day before and it would just work out nicely since most of us will already be down there. I think I was just getting nervous that it might be too much the day before.

We did our the night before mostly because we had out of towners in our bridal party. My SIL had her on Thursday for a Saturday wedding which was really nice because it gave us all day friday to do other things in preperation for her wedding like flowers and programs and last minute things. i would have gone this route but the church wouldn’t let us.

The day before. We had people participating in the wedding coming from all over the globe, and the day before was the only time they would all be in the same place!

We had ours on the Thursday night before our Saturday night wedding. I had about a million things to do the night before!

I’m pretty sure we’re doing ours the night before.

We’re doing it the night before because everyone is traveling in!

We’re doing our actual rehearsal Thursday morning and then the dinner that night, for a Saturday wedding.

We’re doing ours the night before because 2 of our GM’s are coming in from out of town.

We are doing it the day before at 11AM. They have a wedding on Friday night so it was either a Friday morning reahearsal or Thursday night rehearsal. We opted for doing the Friday morning to keep it the day before and have a rehearsal lunch. I actually really like the idea of it too. I like that I’ll have the rest of the afternoon to get last minute things done, like pack for the honeymoon!

We did it the night before. Several members of our bridal party were from out of town and were traveling in specifically for the wedding.

We did the rehearsal late Thursday afternoon, followed by the dinner and the wedding was on Saturday.

The night before. That is what I have planned… it’ll be Saturday.

If you need a lot of OOT people to be at the rehearsal, you usually have no choice but to do it the night before. If everyone is local, I guess earlier could work.
