Dumpster. We live in an apartment condominium. The majority of our waste goes in the recycling bins however, including mandatory organic waste recycling. The city makes its’ own compost.

Majority goes into recycling. Non waste goes into a council bag which is picked up once a week. We probably only out waste bag out once every three weeks but put out our recycling once a week.

    Recycling is important to me.

Trasch goes in the garbage can/recyling bin/compost bin in the kitchen and little wastebaskets in the bathroom/office.

I say trash can! Though I have taken to calling it a bin sometimes since that is what my FI says.

If it’s in the kitchen and gets all the food waste, it’s a trash can. The ones in my office and bedroom I think of as wastebaskets, though! But they’re all kind of generally “the trash,” as in, “Hand me that and I’ll put it in the trash for you.”

I say garbage can. Or just garbage (even when referring to the garbage can).

Trash can (not bin – bin is very England/New Zealand/Australia/Canada). Garbage can is more industrial/outside/larger.
