I dont really have an opinion on the photo. In all honesty I get tired of ppls excuses cause I don’t care why they arent losing why, I only care about why I am/am not losing weight, but some of the excuses are ridiculous and make it seem impossible and all doom and gloom for anyone whose fat. It isnt all doom and gloom and can be done and done easily so I just hate hearing the excuses, if you’re happy with your body then stop making silly excuses to me about why you havent lost weight when you see that I lost 5lbs lol I didnt ask why you aren’t thats your own demons right there…sorry for that rant 😛

I don’t think the message it sends is positive, I don’t like it, and I am overweight. Good on her though for looking that great after 3 kids.

    What’s my excuse?

“I don’t have access to Photoshop.”

@PuntaCanaBride:  I was in the shower this morning, thinking about the original thread, and had this exact same idea! You beat me to it 🙂

I work out 6 days a week, and I understand her message. Do I think she could have maybe used different working? Perhaps. But at least she started a discussion!

@starla:  Uhm, if you look at photos of her, even candid ones, she looks exactly like that.

I think she’s taking a lot of heat that maybe she doesn’t deserve.  I don’t think she’s saying “Everyone should/could look like me” … I think her point is that IF someone wants to change their body or become healthier, they CAN do it (versus making excuses as to why it’s too hard or whatever).

I mean, I’ve seen this image:

and nobody got all up in arms about how he is sending a negative or fat-shaming message or anything.

@starla:  seriously.  I just LOL’d.  However, my Mother, or egg carrier, who I no longer speak to, did point out one of my size 2 friends who went back to a size 2 within in 6 weeks “see she can loose weight and be thin after having a baby.  Why can’t you??”… this was after I had JUST had my second son (my boys are 17 months apart).  Now you see part of the reason I no longer speak to her.  My friend did tell her that I was beautiful for just having the baby and that everyone is made differently.  THATS why I love my friend 🙂

@BlondeBee:  She’s obviously ripped, in great shape, etc., but that top picture is beyond a shadow of a doubt Photoshopped. Your pictures actually help prove the point, just look at the differences in her bellybutton alone from those GENUINE photos to the re-touched top one. There are a bunch of other “tells” if you know what to look for, like the shine on her thighs.

i just think if you’re going to be so smug, at least be 100% real.

@starla:  meh, looks to me like she just had some self tanner rubbed on and some airbrush makeup on her face. It’s like seeing pictures of celebrities without makeup on – I keep saying, man if I only had a personal hair and makeup artist, I’d look like them too, lol.

Regardless, chick is ripped and looks good in both photos.

She’s certainly a hot topic around the bee this morning, isn’t she? 🙂

I dont work out and i could stand to lose a few pounds and I’m not bothered by it at all. I dont understand the big deal. Who cares?

Also, as someone who used to be close to 300 lbs I know it’s just an excuse to say “I’m built to be like this…” Ummm obese? No way

@BlondeBee:  The top picture is Photoshopped; I don’t understand how I could be more clear. It’s not like they shaved 300 pounds off of her, but she has been altered. Does this mean she’s not in fucking amazing shape? No. Does it take some of the punch out of her “message”? Yep.

For the record, IMO this is more of an attention whore move on her part than a motivational message. I think she’s getting her way, too, as I’ve never heard a whisper about this woman until today. [insert obligatory passive-aggressive emoticon here]

It’s a wake up call to some people and they don’t like it. All the picture does is send a message that, everyone is busy. The difference is that some people are more motivated than others. The end. This PT world some people want is infuriating.

I’ve never seen this image before this moment, or heard of this woman, nor do I really give a hoot about it/her. She has 3 kids and a rockin’ body. Congrats. Here’s a cookie. And now I shall go on with my normal life.

    @DaneLady:  +1

She is clearly not saying “everyone has to look exactly like me or you are fat slobs with no excuse.” NO! She’s saying, if you WANT to be healtheir you CAN do it! It’s all about choices and priorities, people. If fitness isn’t a priority for you then this should roll off like water on a duck’s back. If being fitter is something you strive for and want to make a priority, then this is a message that yes you can do this.

For the record, I voted that I agree with the message and I work out at least 3 times a week. I would love to sit on my butt and eat donuts all day, but I know that I would not be happy with myself. I make it a priority to try to make healthy choices. Of course I don’t always do so, but it is present in my mind because it matters to me.
