So I saw the post of trends we are tired of or dislike but what about all these new trends we are really loving and hope stay around?
Mine- I love veil-less brides and these brooch bouquets are GORGEOUS!!

I just love how personalized weddings are becoming! It used to be that you had to follow all these traditions and if you didn’t then you weren’t doing it right but now the more personality and heart you use the better!

@natbug21: I was going to say the same thing! Im not sure if this is really a current trend now, or if I’m just noticing it now…But I love when people put their parents’ and grandparents’ wedding pics on display- or when there is a personal/special meaning behind different elements of the wedding in general…

@natbug21: I’m with you. I’m bored of the weddings where there are no personal touches or vows. I’m not going to laugh or cry with you with:
Preist: Do you take this woman?
Man: I do.
Priest: Do you take this man?
Woman: I do.
I like vows with emotion and showcase what a couple is really like. Who was the bride on here that Rick Rolled her husband during their vows? I would have laughed my ass off being there to hear that!
I also like cupcakes, colored shoes, colored crinoline, fun first dances, first looks, big flower headpieces, etc.
These things aren’t trends to me because I have not seen any of it in real life weddings (except cupcakes one time.) So while blogland may be sick of everything, my guests are going to be blown away by personal touches because all of the weddings we have been to in the last 10 years have been the same but different church/reception hall. None of my friends or family have seen an anniversary dance, veil-less bride, uncovered tattoos, a groomswoman, a wine box ceremony, sand ceremony, or ring warming ceremony, signature drinks, etc.

@Evie19: I love those pics too! I think it’s so cool to see the history behind the bride and groom 🙂
@Miss Tattoo: Haha oh my god a bride rick rolled her husband?! Holy balls I want to do that to my Fiance soooo bad! I am constantly rick rolling him and sending him the trolololo guy!

I have to agree with previous posters. I love all the personal and unique touches that couples are incorporating into their weddings. Love colored crinoline, textured skirts, mismatched bridesmaid dresses, candy bars, s’more bars, unique guestbooks.. etc.

@natbug21: Yeah! She snuck the actual words into her vows! She just did her recaps and I laughed my ass off when she got to that part. Basically it was like
“I love you because blah blah blah blah and because I love you, I’m never gonna give you up and I’m never gonna let you down.” ha ha ha.
