I tried to clean some dirt stain off the underside of the hem on my dress, and the silk actually changed to a different color/texture after touching water! So I think it's best to get it cleaned professionally...plus, then you can get it freshly steamed for the big day!

Hello y'all,
I am sorry if this has been posted before but I've got a question! I have a dupioni silk dress and in the process of taking my bridals yesterday I got some mud in a few spots on the train and hem. Dang rain! Do you have any suggestions of how to spot clean this? Can it be steamed off? I am just trying to avoid taking it to be $$$ dry cleaned because the entire dress isn't dirty...
Also, I got my dress used and it was dry cleaned before I purchased it.
