when i started to ttc to started spotting 2-5 days before AF would arrive. obgyn told me it was nothing to worry about. but since it has been over a year, i suggest making an appointment with an RE.

it ended up taking us 2 years and IVF to conceive DS.  but we had some other issues.  (he had low morphology, i had high E2 and a large fibroid)

Are you certain that you ovulated when you think you ovulated?

If you’re not, it could be implantation bleeding, which means you could get a positive in 1-3 days or so.

Otherwise, if you’re certain you ovulated before and this should in fact be AF, then I would wait a few more days and if still a negative test plus no AF, I would make an appointment with your doctor.

nikkibee23 :  that’s great! congrats!

Breakthrough bleeding isn’t terribly uncommon, especially if your first positive is 3 days late (which I assume means you implanted late), but seeing a doctor just to be sure makes total sense!

nikkibee23 :  Congrats! Try not to worry about the spotting. I spotted with both my pregnancies – one failed and the other so far (24 weeks) is fine! So it can mean any number of things and the best thing to do is just chill and take it easy 🙂
