I'm pale and burn easily too.  My make up artist sugessted I get a spray tan because my face is naturally darker than my body and she would have had to use foundation on my neck and below to make it even.

I got an airbrush spray tan before the wedding to see how it would turn out and I loved it! I was not orange at all, just very, very tan, although they used the lightest shade. It looks the darkest right after you get it and then gradually fades out.  That's why I went back the Wednesday before my Saturday wedding.  By the wedding day I had a nice glow.

I had an airbrush tan done for my shower last week. I'm really pale too, so I had it done with the lightest shade. I felt really dark, but it looked good. I'd say the 3rd day was the best. I felt most like myself, but with an awesome tan, and now a week later it's breaking up a bit, but is fading pretty naturally. I'm definitely going to do it again for my bachelorette party and the wedding. It's so much safer than tanning in the sun or a tanning bed!

i have spray tanned before, but have naturally pretty dark skin.

it looks great and never is streaky or orange, but does come off on my clothes when i sweat (like working out at the gym).

thinking maybe it would run off on your white dress?
