I had a spray tan for my wedding. I used to do them in a salon till i had my kiddo so i used my own machine and had my sister spray me. I use fake bake products. It has more of a green base rather than an orange so its more natural.

I am a super fair redhead and I always had spray tans for big events, so I definitely had one for the wedding.  I went on a Wednesday before my Saturday wedding so there was time for it to fade a bit.  I planned to have an airbrush tan; however, I ran out of time and just did the Mystic HD, which was totally fine.

I am not sure why but my photographer said to not get a tan before pictures. I never planned on it so I never asked him why.

@blonddc828:  I got it done at a place called sun-n-surf tanning salon.  Yes it was airbrush, I highly reccommend it!!

@blonddc828:  I didn’t spray tan & I wouldn’t, because I have heard such mixed reviews. It totally depends on the product and application. My sister had a spray tan that she got at a reputable Chicago salon & she looked hilariously orange. Plus, she peeled and streaked just days later.

I used this stuff called “Faux Tan” from Bare Escentuals, which is basically a green-base cream/lotion that you use a khabuki brush to apply, and it did a fantastic job for my wedding. My husband & I both used it (plus my fair skinned maid of honor), and we looked totally normal and just barely sun kissed.

@MrsSkeletonKey:  I like that you can apply that at home. Where can you purchase it?

@LovelyLaura:  Yeah, it’s a great product & I highly recommend it.

I got mine on QVC & believe it was the best deal, even better than Ebay:

http://www.qvc.com/qvc.product.A212450.html?item=A212450&ref=GAS&tpl=detail&cm_ven=GOOGLESHOPPINGFEED&cm_cat=Beauty&cm_pla=Bath%20&%20Body&cm_ite=A212450-000-000&CAWELAID=1919217549&catargetid=600006460000295481&cadevice=c&cagpspn=pla

The bottle is massive and seemingly never ends. I must have done a full body application at least 10 times & the bottle barely barely shows a reduction in product. Word of advice is to watch some youtube vids about it before attempting it, so you can see best application practices.
