I would recommend doing an airbrush over Mystic. I have done both, and I ALWAYS gets streaks in the mystic. The airbrush is done by a person, and they spray it on you more evenly. It is a little more money, but TOTALLY worth it, especially for your wedding day!
@pinkandsparkly:Thanks for the advice.Have u heard of any bride staining their dress with the spray tanning/airbrush??Thats what Im afraid of.
do a tan trial!!!! i was planning on a spray tan for mine and idk what kind the salon i went to had but even after showering i was waking up with my night shirt covered in tan. thanks to the trial i know im not getting it for the wedding cus it is not worth it for me. like my fiance said he loves me more perfectly pasty than terribly tan lol
i did a trial run. it looks best 2 days after, so i am getting it done of wednesday and getting married... next friday!!
Definitely do a trial run. I did a Mystic tan...I looked like the child of Snookie and an Oompa Loompa. Not a fan. Plus, (little TMI) I got a terrible UTI from it, first one I'd ever had and it was a beast. Spray tanning just wasn't a good match for me. I'll rock my 50spf all summer and use a little bronzing lotion and call it good :-) I hope you have better luck!
I've done both airbrush and the booth spray. I vote airbrush 100%. When I did the booth, it was uneven, and rubbed off on my dress, as in where my arms would hit. It was just for a sorority formal, but still-yikes!
Okay I will do a trial run.I hope it works though. My problem is that the bottom of my arms are tan becuse I wear shirts in the sun alot and then the upper part and the rest is completely white!!!I need to figure out a way to balance them out.
I did a trial spray on tan for my engagement pictures a few weeks before hand. The first couple days it was great and i looked sunny and tan and lovely. Then like day 3 I was streaky and it was coming off uneven..I totally listened to everything the lady told me to do too. I can't imagine getting one for my wedding, I know I'd look great on my wedding day but then on my honeymoon I'd start to be all streaktacular so I voted against it haha.
Check out groupon's in your area. I had been thinking about doing the airbrush and than bam, in my inbox an offer for airbrush for $20 (lifebooker, I think.) I bought one for my mother 2, she is self proclaimed fake tanarexic and often tells people that I call her oompah loompah. Hopefully she can stay away in the weeks leading up and will have an even skin tone for our pics. I'm hoping it will even out the tan lines I've developed this summer.
Definitely do it 2 days before. I usually do it Thursday for a Saturday event. I also recommend doing it at night--like the latest that they're open. Shower in the morning and exfoliate/shave and use a light water-based moisturizer. After the tan, try not to touch it and wear loose clothing and DO NOT GET WET for at least 4 hours. In the morning, rinse off in the shower, but don't scrub or shave. I've never really had a problem with it melting off on my clothes, other than the first night. If it's an option, do the clear tan instead of the bronzer tan...it dries the same and you look less snooki-ish.
My daughter gets them, and she did have an issue after wearing her gown for a few hours. I didn't notice it in person, but did in some pictures. She also had it done several days before, but it definitely came off on the dress.

You can see the discoloration around her arm.
You have time, you must do a trial, now though. It looks great but it fades horribly so make sure you get it done a few days to a week before. You HAVE to exfoliate your skin and maybe consider paying a spa to give you a good body rub down :) Watch your hands/feet/joints. They will turn orange your they use to much.
It is very pretty! I have had many clients get this done, just be prepared. :) GL!
I did an airbrush tan 2 days before my wedding. It did rub off a bit on the inside of my dress, but you couldn't tell at all on the outside.
Spray tans look great but they do rub off and thats just a risk I am personally not willing to take or something that I would suggest to anyone else.

I dont and cant tan for anything. In the sun,in the tanning salon, never. And if I do get dark in the sun and tanning bed,not even half a shade,my face gets REALLY red.I burn so easily!
So I was considering doing the spray tanning. The one where u go into this machine and it sprays u.Has anybody done this??Did it stain your dress?I will probably sweat, its a given. But what has been your experiences???????
Help me bees!!! Did the spray tanning work for u??
