Is it wrong to use spring colors for a fall wedding? My fiance and I both love blue and gold, and we are thinking of having a colour theme of gold, apricot, white and small amounts of light blue.
Can we do this, or will it seem odd? We are having our wedding reception at a venue overlooking the beach and thought that these colors would look lovely.. it’s just a shame we have the wrong season. 🙁

I think those would go well! I think if you’re doing BRIGHT colors, then it doesn’t look quite right (but that’s just me, I’m anal). My colors are pink and turquoise, and I would never be able to pull off a fall wedding with those colors. But I think shades of blue are season-round colors.

I think those colors would work for fall! Especially with the gold and apricot in there — it brings hints of fall to the color palette!

Those sound like gorgeous colors. I think the whole idea of colors having to match the season is kind of silly. You want colors that you will still enjoy looking at when you’re browsing through your wedding photos in twenty years, you know? So I say go with what you like 🙂

@juicytray: Thank you, I have been stressing a little because we loved the colors but from what I have read not all spring themes suit fall. I like your colours too they sound so cheerful 🙂
