Have you brides ever second guess yourself, whether you spend the right amount of money for your dress?
I ran the numbers few nights ago. Trying to figure out the exact numbers I spent for my wedding. Lo and behold, I spent way too much for my dress (I think). Since then, I feel like I don’t want the dress anymore…
Factoring in alteration and etc, it will all come down to $3K.
The dress is nice and I will wear it, but I regretted the spur of the moment decision I made.
Have any of you ever had the same experience where you made spur of the moment decision?
Attached is the dress for your viewing…

it’s a gorgeous dress!
have you shopped around for alterations? independent seamstresses usually charge less than a bridal shop. if you’re worried you spent too much, you can always save somewhere else.
i know what you mean about money guilt, but remember how important the day is! as long as you can afford it, don’t feel guilty. you deserve this dress!

I’m very impulsive!
-Flower Girl Dresses lol
The reason I was so worried about my dress decision was because it was only the 2nd trip we had made and because it was 1/2 my size! how could I make a REALISTIC call! And the fact that it was a few hundred OVER budget made me worry. But mom said “If this is it, this is it!” She loved it! I just “knew” when I tried it on. It was the last one for the night too and the “Consultants Pick” for me. The consultant NAILED IT! Simple with BLING! She even gave us a discount since it was over our budget.
I met my dress for the first time a couple weeks ago and in my size I adore it. Everything about it. Makes me feel like such a WOMAN!
That dress you chose is beautiful. Shop around for alterations. Ask for family/friend recommendations, those are always more helpful I find in the long run.
Be CONFIDENT! That dress is beautiful! And dont try on ANY MORE until you get your dress in.

Your gown is very beautiful. I think you should try it on again and remember why you purchased it. I have made several spur of the moment purchases but, so far, I have been able to incorporate everything into our wedding; well almost everything 🙂
Sometimes I think about how much it costs, but on our day, I know that whatever it is I know it will add to the day to help make it even more special.

That dress is really pretty. $3k is totally not in my budget for a wedding gown, but I wouldn’t regret it if you really love it. My FI always says, “don’t buy it unless you love it.” and if you have to spend a little more to get exactly what you want it’s not the end of the world. (of course as long as it’s not putting you in debt)
Can you try it on again? You want to feel the same way you did the moment you put it on. I think it would make you feel better.
I had to do that with my venue. My FI cast some doubt on the place and I wondered if it was worth it to pick the place we did. I drove by there the other day and realized it was a great place. The view is incredible. I just needed that viewing of it again to remember how I felt when I picked it.

Thanks so much for the comments.
I tried on the dress yesterday after putting it off for a while. I was mauling over your guys’ suggestion of trying on the dress.
The dress arrived in December, but I haven’t got the courage to look at it.
But, YEAH… I loved it. It is perfect!!! Guess what?! I only need to hem it; and sewing in bra cups
Not sure how much the work will cost, but I was told by the consultant that it shouldn’t cost me much. Still, I will shop around.
@posh_princess: Funny… my FI said the same thing 🙂
You guys definitely made me feel better and put in better perspective.
Thanks for the tips as well.
