I have seen a lot of ideas for centerpieces for round tables and long tables...but what about square tables?  Any pictures floating around out there?

Hmmm...I love candles, but I wonder if that last photo has too many.  I would think the reception site would get warm pretty quickly...but it's absolutely gorgeous.  I also really liked the middle picture, but I'm not sure that's in my budget.  Thanks for the wonderful ideas though...keep them coming!

Oh I am so particular about sq. things for sq. tables and round things for round tables!  It's a pet peeve.  Our tables are round, so I don't have any pictures of sq.  But I think some great sq. vases with flowers, sq. votives, I don't think sq. limits you in any way.

It depends on what your theme is.

I have used square wooden trays with candles, sand and pebbles-like a Japanese garden.

I have also used square trays with a block of wheatgrass and daisies in floral tubes for a casual garden wedding.

Almost any idea could be adapted to a square design

I'm trying to keep things very romantic...lots of candles and lace...the colors are champagne, black, dusty rose and mauve.  I like the idea of the lanterns, but I would really like to try to incorporate more light/candles.  Would it look okay to use the lanterns with a lot of other candles around them (sorry...I really have NO decorating eye)?

Thank you so much Jamicabride!  I loved that first option with the smaller lanterns.  I still think I would use more candles than that, but it's good to see that it works.  I also really liked the one with the orange roses, but I think that might be a bit out of my budget.

Keep the ideas coming...I'm sure there are more brides out there that would appreciate the help.
