I'm sorry ladies! Just reread my post. That's an awful lot to plow through. Don't blame you guys for not replying. Wish I could pull it. I'll figure out this font thing.. based on what you've all written before and some other research I managed to do today.
For the corner text, use the main text font (copperplate or whatever it ends up being), but you may want to put it in Small Caps or All Caps and in a smaller size.

Thank you, a million thank yous, Kurlynut, for your tutorial on fonts! So the proof is beautiful with Crane & Co monogram and Palace script for our names. Very large, heavy card in light ivory w/black ink. Okay- the the stationer has the Palace script paired with COPPERPLATE in all CAPS, which you say is too heavy. I agree. So we're going to try some of your other suggestions, like Gotham Light 09, Goudy Old Style, Century Gothic...
Then, there's a third font, a light simple script at the bottom center that says reception to follow under the stars. Looks great.
We're also putting the rsvp and an e-mail and phone # on bottom left and black tie optional on bottom right (I know, I know - breaking with etiquette, but hey, it's 2010 and I'm the bride)! Which font should we use for that stuff in the little corners? Same as "reception" font or a fourth one? Right now, guy has used copperplate, same as body of main text.
