I'm using Mirage Photography ( http://www.mirage-photo.com/index2.php ). They really were willing to work with us on our budget. I won't tell you how much they charged us, but it was well below what they advertised at. Shawn and Sam are 2 of the NICEST people. They are really fun and really easy to get along with, plus they have so many great ideas. I am really looking forward to working with them. We're taking out e-pics next month.
I'm using Video Gate Studio (http://www.videogatestudio.com/). I met them at a Bridal Show, but came to find out that one of the owners know's my family. They are apart of the "small" russian community here in St. Louis. We are just using them for photography, but they also do video.
I'm using Mirage Photography too! I LOVE Shawn and Sam and they gave us a great deal. They're so much fun to work with. I recommend them. We just took our engagement pictures a week ago and it was a blast! We did a Mad Men retro shoot and some casual pictures. They had so many awesome ideas for us. I can wait to see the photos!
Thanks guys! Video Gate looks pretty awesome and nicely priced! I've definitely marked them down as a possibilitiy.
I submited a form to Mirage to see about their pricing 2 or 3 days ago but they haven't responded :( Did you guys have trouble getting a hold of them or are they just a little slow?
I said this in another post, but we were going to use Arms Up Photography with Samantha Renn (before we moved the wedding). She's awesome and very reasonably priced.
If you haven't booked someone yet, definitely check out Alecia Hoyt Photography:
She's doing my wedding, she's more affordable than many others I've looked at, and still high quality with a photojournalistic style. I would even say that, price aside, her work was the best I saw throughout my search. Good luck!
We are using Jennifer L.K. Thompson....she is awesome and a great price!!!! She is a little under $1000 and does fantastic work! We did our engagement photos with her and we were hooked!!! She is listed in the vendors on here and here is her website! http://www.wix.com/jenniferlkthompson/jenniferlkthompson
Whoever you decide o go with just don't go with St Louis Color INc. Terrible service! A HUGE pain in the ass to deal with on all levels of my wedding.
We're using Erik Lunsford. He does photography for the St. Louis Post Dispatch as well as wedding photography. I adore him and he's so so so reasonably priced. His packages aren't measured by hours...he's there all day. He recently shot my future brother in law's wedding and I was able to watch him work. He's enthusiastic but unobtrusive and so obviously enjoys shooting weddings. Highly recommend him.

Sorry, there are no users yet.
Does anyone know of any decent, relatively expensive photographers in St. Louis? The cheapest I can find is like $2000 which is a probably a bit out of our price range. That said--I'm a little uneasy about going for the absolute cheapest I can find.
Thoughts?
