Oh, I haven’t checked Ardnt yet – I’ll check out their samples tonight!
I LOVE Robert Leighton’s sample, but I got a really weird response from him when I sent him an email. The response was from some non-professional email address, which I could let slide, but it was basically “my associate can. Call him at xxx-xxxx”.
No “yes, we’re available” or “no, we aren’t available, but try so and so”. It was so strange. Did you have a similar experience or was that just a fluke?
I’m meeting with millennium this week and have already met with Master’s Touch – they’re my top choice so far.
Ugh, I’m just so bummed because I’ve emailed SO many and their all booked. It took forever for us to decide that “yes, we’ll get a videographer” and now I feel like we waited too long.
@StL.Ashley: I hear you! I just decided like two weeks ago that I do want a videographer so now I am stressing about which one to use. I also had a weird vibe from Robert Leighton! I kept asking where his studio was and he was kept saying, it’s in St. Louis – but i wanted the address so we could meet. Apparently he works from his home, which is fine but I just don’t know. I also saw a photo of him in someone’s album that i was stalking and he looked uber-creepy. Which is not a huge deal other than he would be right be me the whole day…I loved the videos on his site though.
Arndt is a family business and they have been doing wedding for about 5 years. They’d be worth looking into. I think their prices are around $2500-3000. The only thing for me is that I really want a highlight video that included actual sound recordings, not just the music playing over everything and I’m not sure they do that.
@FutureMrsBPJ: They emailed me back and said they had another inquiry for our date, but they hadn’t put down a contract yet so we could schedule a meeting and call them to set one up. I called Katie (the contact) – she was super niced, answered some questions, and then told them I’d call them back to double check my schedule (we’re moving to NJ in two weeks so we’re a little busy right now, ha!). By the time I called back the other couple had booked them :(. But they seemed super awesome and they’re a great deal. I’d go with them in a heartbeat if they were still available!
All my friends use Switzerfilm, and their videos are amazing, but I’m not sure of the price, probably on the expensive side. I sent inquires to a few videographers but they were booked on our date (same date) so I just kinda said screw it I had enough problems finding a photographer I’m not doing it again lol
@FutureMrsBPJ: They have a few different packages. We picked the second best package because the first package had “rock the dress” and we decided not to do that… that’s where you go a few days after your wedding and get your hair and make-up done again and take more photos/video.. that package (of photo + video is just under 20k). Ours is the second package and it is photo + video as well (so you get 2 photographers and 2 videographers at your wedding + engagement photo session-ours was several hours at multiple locations), cinematic music video (same day edit if you want, but we are not because we want the whole reception on video, and they have to stop recording to edit and play your video that evening) plus dvd’s, photo books, custom wedding album, and rights to the photos… and that package for us is $13,000 (we booked last year, so I’m not sure if prices have changed at all). They have different options, depending if you want just photo or just video, or if you do both. EVERY SINGLE PERSON who works for them is amazing, just so you know. Hope that helps!
@FutureMrsBPJ: lol. I mean $13,000 and $20,000.. however, they do have many different options depending on if you’re doing photo + video, or just one or the other. And, some don’t include all the extras. You could at least check out the price list. I tried to find it in my email but no luck yet.. I’ll look a litte more, though.
