    I've been to St. Lucia. Beautiful! Stayed in Castries. Did some sightseeing (Beach, the pitons, sulphuric springs) and ofcourse duty free shopping La Place Carenage and Pointe Seraphine were really nice.

    I haven't been yet, but I'm going (early October). The tripadvisor boards have been really helpful for information and questions.

    We're going to Jade Mountain in Soufriere.

    We going snorkeling, scuba diving, deep sea fishing, jungle mountain bikes tour, yacht excursions, spa (well I am anyways), and FI would like to go zip lining, but I'm not so sure.

    I'm just so excited I want to share my excitement, especially with those who are going to St. Lucia too!

    Yep, we're going next May for the honeymoon. Right now, we're trying to decide between Sandals Grande or Sandals Regency. I really want an all-inclusive and since Sandals includes scuba diving for no extra charge, they really appealed to me. We'll plan to dive a couple days, zip line, mud baths, definitely want to drive through the volcano, and horseback ride on the beach. Oh... and relax! ;)

    we went in august for our honeymoon! it's so beautiful, my hubby and i kept asking each other if we were in paradise. we stayed at ladera near soufriere and loved it so much we'll probably go back someday. besides relaxing at the beach and pool, we went horseback riding, sailing, zip lining, and had a volcanic mud bath. completely awesome!

    We're going on Sept. 20th for 10 days and I can't wait! We're staying at the Sandals Halycon which I have read great reviews about on other sites but everyone on here seems to overlook so I'm sure I'll write a review either way next month. We are looking forward to its small size and lush gardens but will surely visit the other two ressorts as well.

    FI really wants to go ziplining, but I'm apprehensive...

    I'm afraid I'll get up there and not be able to step off!

    We've been! We went years ago - rented a private house with our own pool (the way to go, btw). We stayed in the Gros Islet area, off a golf course. I believe there is a Sandals up the road. The northern end of the island is less touristy & more quiet, but definitely the entire island is driveable (although, driving is scary!) We drove around to Soufriere & Castries, had lunch on a lagoon, found our own private cove beach, checked out the markets & shops, went to a coffee plantation, ate cocoa beans (strange but we can say we did it!), snorkling, sailing... It is so beautiful there! Wish we could go back!

    Have fun to those who are going!

    @Beesgf:

    OMGGGG you're going to Jade Mountain!?!?!? I am sooooooo jealous! Someone recommended it to us and we were ogling the website, and we wanted to go there so badly. Then we looked at the prices...it just wasn't in the budget. Were you able to get any good deals?? Oh man I am green with envy. I hope you come and post a recap or review of it after you go!!

    @cs71904: You will have to tell us how it is! I've heard of Calabash Cove, it's one of the spots we're considering. Have fun and congrats on such an awesome win :)

    Def do check out on tripadvisor Jalousie Plantation in Soufriere.

    My DH went there as a single guy.  It's gorgeous.  Your own villa and plunge pool.  he went there after his divorce.  Only single guy on the darn island btw.

    He LOVED it.  Said the beach is the nicest there, food freakin' amazing.  He kayaked, hiked, and just loved the vacation.

    We plan btw to go there soon.  villas recently renovated and the resort owned by the same group who owns the Tides Resorts. jalousie plantation at Sugar Beach.
