We are staying near Soufrie at the Stargroves Pitons Villa. Just wondering if anyone has any advice on fun things to do in St. Lucia! So far, we are definitely checking out the mineral springs and hiking the trails up the pitons.

@MissCountryGirl727: Definitely do ziplining. That was one of our favorite things on the island. Also, either on Friday or Saturday night, they close down the street in Gros Islet and have a street festival: http://www.tripadvisor.com/Attraction_Review-g147344-d546321-Reviews-Gros_Islet_Street_Party-Gros_Islet_Gros_Islet_Quarter_St_Lucia.html

Yes I was thinking zip-lining! I’ll look into the festival, Thanks!
Did you have any problems from the locals? FI and I have never been out of the country and we heard such bad stories about the locals bothering tourists from our friends who honeymooned in the bahamas.

@MissCountryGirl727: We didn’t have a problem at all. I mean, if you’re walking around touristy places, they’re going to try and get you to buy a bunch of stuff, but that happens in NYC all the time. I wouldn’t carry really expensive stuff around with you, but I feel like that’s with anywhere you go.

We’re also going to St. Lucia, but are staying in the northern part of the Island at the Body Holiday. I plan on mostly utilizing their amazing spa and fitness facilities, but we’re also doing a helicopter trip, horseback riding, and exploring of Gros Islet.

There are a ton of fun things to do in St Lucia! A couple that I would recommend are:
1, private mud baths with lunch
2. Helicoptor tour-which also makes a great transfer from the international airport to the north end of the island
3. Joes Knows St Lucia

LOVE St Lucia
Our Honeymoon Caribbean Cruise stopped there for the day… we went Snorkelling Beneath the Pitons at the Anse des Pitons (Pitons Cove) Marine Reserve which is right at Jalhousie Plantation / Sugar Beach… a Viceroy Resort.
(NOTE – Sugar Beach is not a natural white sandy beach… “natural” here would be black lava rock / sand as the two Pitons are actually Volanic Plugs… but the Beach is still extremely nice. And considered to be one of the best in St Lucia for many reasons, including the incredible view to the Pitons as well as the decent snorkelling that happens in the Marine Reserve)
You can find lots of info out about St Lucia here on WBee (use the SEARCH BOX) as there have been many other Bees who have gone there on their Honeymoons. Including Mrs Beanstalk who was a Blogging Bee… she did a lot of great entries on the WBee Blog about her Honeymoon there and the various activities she enjoyed (Hiking – ZipLining – Chocolate etc)
You can also find a lot of great info by taking a look at the Official Tourism Website for St Lucia = http://www.stlucianow.com
As well as TripAdvisor… my first choice when Travel Planning (and Mr TTR & I travel a lot)… they have a Travel Guide – Reviews (for Accommodations – Attractions – Restaurants, etc) as well as Forums where you can post Questions and get replies from their Destination Experts who know an area best as well as locals who live there.
TripAdvisor (St Lucia Travel Guide) = http://www.tripadvisor.ca/Tourism-g147342-St_Lucia-Vacations.html
Mr TTR and I would most definitely return to St Lucia in the future, I’m thinking we may actually make it a Destination next time, either for a full week… or combine it with a hop over for a few days vacation with nearby Barbados.
Hope this helps,
