I unfortunately don't have any tips, but your post reminded me that my FFIL made my fiance and I watch about 45 minutes of home video from my in-laws' trip to St. Martin! All I remember is that there was some sort of political parade, the water was beautiful, and my FFIL hiked up a trail and got stung by hornets...
A couple of summers ago, FILs took FI and I along on a family vacation to their timeshare in St. Maarten. We were just outside of Philipsburg in the Little Divi resort. We had a fantastic time! I loved it and got some amazing photos. My recommendation would be to rent a car so you can see all the little towns all over the island; St. Maarten/Martin is renowned as the culinary capital of the Caribbean, so you'll want to go around to all the different restaurants. Our favorite was L'Escargot in Philipsburg; the chef came out to chat with us and he was hilarious!

Hi Bees!
Fi and I are strongly considering St. Martin for our honeymoon destination, as our parents are gifting us with a free week of timeshare. I've googled for some info but would love first hand opinions from people who have been. Any must-dos? Must-nots? Tips? Thank you!!
