@sd2012: My fiance and I live in Chicago and are getting married in St. Pete Beach in October. We're actually getting married at The Grand Plaza hotel which I believe is where the roof top bistro is. The hotel has other dining options...maybe you could look into those?I think it's called the Palm Room? I know in the area they have Crabby Bills which is a little less formal and more casual but I can honestly tell you that the food is AMAZING!
We've also looked into more affordable places for our rehersal dinner as well and some of these places may be available?:

We live in Pa and decided to get married on the beach. We picked a company to do the beach ceremony who also promised help with other areas. We have 5 mos to go and have NO PLACE to have dinner. We had planned to do dinner at the Spinners Bistro (the top floor of the hotel we already booked) the wedding people said that would work. When i double checked with the reservation, i found that the company did not call and make the reservation and they will not take a group of 40.
Im so lost and don't know what to do without spending a ton of money!!! Can anyone help?? Any local st petersburgh people that have any suggestions!!??!!??
