A friend of mine is getting married in Costa Rica this weekend. I was invited to her wedding but unfortunately couldn't afford the time and cost of the trip consdering my own wedding is in a few months.
She didnt want to have a bachelorette but we encouraged her to do it. It was a small party and we didn't go out of town for it but it was fun and it was great to celebrate with her. (There were others that werent able to go to the wedding)
I would say that you should have one if you have friends that are unable to attend your wedding. If all of your friends are going to your wedding, why don't you just have a ladies night out while you are on your trip??

We didn't plan on having a Stag (Buck) and Doe because we are planning a Destination wedding...but my girlfriend asked "why not?" I thought it would be tacky to take money from people considering we're going away and asking people to pay to come already.
Who's right?
