My fiance and I have friends ranging all over the place, literally all over Ontario and we’re thinking it might be a good idea to have a stag and doe party – but we realized that if we have one in a central location, not everyone will be able to make it whether it’s too far to drive, a wrong date, or what have you.
We’d really like to get together with a bunch of our friends to celebrate before the wedding and we know that we unfortunately won’t be able to invite everyone to our actual wedding (destination) so to make it work we want two so EVERYONE has a chance to make it and celebrate.
Does this make sense?
Thanks in advance!

I don’t think it would be a problem to have 2 parties, but I think that you generally only invite people who are invited to the wedding.

I’m 100% all for stag & doe parties, but I’d say that one is good enough. Any more than that and it looks very ‘money grab’. Besides (where I live, anyway) the majority of the people that go to stag & does don’t even know the bride and groom. If your friends want to support you, they can still buy tickets without attending (also really common here). And if you want to celebrate with friends consider planning a night out to a bar or pub instead.

It makes sense, but I would only have one actual stag and doe. Call the other one something else.
Have 1 stag and doe party in a central location, or on one side that is closest to the biggest amount of people. Then just have a casual bbq or get together somewhere else. Don’t have 2 stag and does…expecially if you are charging entrance fee/for drinks and food.
