My venue has a dramatic Victoran staircase and I was thinking it might be great instead of walking down the aisle to ascend the stairs wth my dad wth my fiance waiting at the bottom and to get married in front of the fireplace. I plan on wearing flats and practicing before so I don’t fall on my face. Has anyone ascended the stairs instead of an aisle at their venue, here is a picture of mine, tell me what you think: http://www.falkirkculturalcenter.org/falkir-interior/falkirk-interior/

- Wedding: June 2014 - San Francisco, CA
There was a recent Featured Bee who descended a staircase for the South Carolina (I think?) wedding – it was on the main page. Can’t remember her name (sorry!) but the photos are very beautiful! I think she did it in heels, but if you try in flats, I guess just practice.

Here’s my picture of coming down the stairs at Falkirk. I like your idea but think that if you’re having more than 30ish people it would be really hard to seat everyone inside the venue.
