My aunt works at the post office and took an invitation to the post office for me to weigh and measure. I really expected them to be 88 cents or more, but she told me they were only 61 cents. I happily bought stamps and put them on all my invitations.
Now I”m getting nervous that 61 cents will not be enough and they will all get returned to me, or worse: my guests will get a bill from the USPS.
So…did your stamps end up being more or less than what you expected?

Some invites will be fine at 61 cents. A lot of people pay more because they have irregularly shaped ones (squares) or it bulges because of ribbon and can’t go through the reader.

Mine have a faux wax seal. It isn’t very thick, but it does have a bump that’s visible from the outside.

If she works at the post office, I’m sure that she measured it correctly! If you feel nervous, take it to another post office to check.
