For those of you who have a Kitchen Aid or other stand mixer, do you use it often or more like once or twice a year? If you do use it often, what are your favorite uses for it? We’re debating if it is worth the price, even after discounts/completion bonus it is expensive!

Oh I use mine ALL the time. I bake alot, make bread, icings, so that machine is always working, I absolutely love it! That was the best Christmas present I ever received from Fiance hehe

I use mine a lot – probably averages once a week. But sometimes there are a couple weeks where I don’t use it, and then weeks where I use it all the time.
I mostly bake cakes (batter, filling, and frosting) and cookies, but I also make dips a lot with it. I’ve started making bread lately, and I love it. I’m sure I’ll be making a lot more.
I love mine. We got it two years ago on sale at Kohl’s the day after thanksgiving with lots of coupons. I think it ended up being around $100.

I have one from a professional line (my uncle is a chef). I’d say we use it at least once every 2-3 months. It’s handy when I’m multi-tasking in the kitchen… which is always lol. I like how I am not stuck standing there holding the hand mixer so I can work on something else. Don’t get me wrong though, it wouldn’t be the end of the world if I only had a hand-mixer. It’s just nice to have the stand mixer.

All the time! Making dough, frosting, icing, cookies, batter, meringues. It takes a LOT of time out of baking, with really great results. I say if you really enjoy baking, and do it often (or making things from scratch like pizza, pretzels, bread etc) then spring for one.

I will say be wary of the lower price mixers – they just aren’t as powerful. I got a Sunbeam and it wouldn’t mix anything, so I returned it. You are safe with a KitchenAid, Cuisinart or comparable brand.

My mother has one and a regular cuisinart food processor and we use the food processor and all of the attachments no less than once or twice a week, sometimes even for baking, it’s just easier to pull down/put together/clean
I suggest going that route if you don’t think you’re going to use the other too much. We only use it when we’re like mass producing i.e. holidays birthdays etc

Baking, making dough, cooking (ie mashed potatoes) and attachments for pasta!

All the time. I make pizza dough weekly, bread, ice cream, baking, potato stuff etc. I use mine at least 5-6 times a week.

I love using mine. I love to bake so I use it at least once every other month? It’ll probably be more after the wedding diet ends

EVERYTHING!!! I have that baby running 3x a week. I make bread dough, pizza dough, pies, cakes, cookies, icing…. I so love it!!!
I recently got the pro kitchenaid and it’s made my life so much better… just seeing it on the counter makes me smile!!!!

We had a kitchenaid for about 6 months, and never used it. We paid half price for it, and sold it on for full price, so all good for something we never used 🙂

Omg I love my KitchenAid! Besides the fact that it’s hot pink :),
We use it for mashed potatoes, bread/pizza dough, cookies, cakes, ice cream. I’m dying to get the pasta attachment to make homemade pasta.

We got the Kitchenaid Pro for our shower and I’m almost embarrassed to say that I’ve only used it a handful of times. I don’t do a ton of baking but I still wanted one just because I thought it would be nice to have… and it is! My hand mixer broke a few years ago and I never got around to getting a new one so I would always mix everything by hand. Having the stand mixer is fabulous considering I have carpel tunnel and rigorously mixing batter does nothing for my hands. The Kitchenaid is one of those things that should last for years so even if I don’t do a lot of baking now, I’m sure it’ll still be worth it down the road.
