Yeah in the end it kind of depends on personal preference. Asha is the most convincing as a diamond simulant, but moissanite has the durability and extreme sparkle.

I think you totally nailed it.

Moissy = fire.

Asha = most diamond-like.

But know that Asha is not as durable as Moissanite. I’ve seen pix of 9 yr old asha that is quite scratched and cloudy. google this or look it up on betterthandiamond and you can see what older ashas look like.

I’ve had my Asha for a year – no scratches.  I clean it once a week.  Doesn’t seem like it gets dirty any faster than my diamonds do.   It’s quite sparkly as well.

Asha is gorgeous. Of course it’s not going to withstand 9 years of daily use, but NO cz is going to! I can’t wait until moissanite has the same cuts available as the ashas do.

dessert37 i soak it in warm water and dawn soap, or i have a baby toothbrush and scrub it with alcohol. works like a charm.

@KatyElle:  Which cut(s) isn’t (aren’t) available in moissy yet?

I just saw the first emerald cut moissy ever on the moissaniteco web site. Then I found some emerald solitaires on eBay and other sites. Beautiful! But I could see how some women wouldn’t like the warmth.
