- Wedding: October 2011
So I decided to bling out my wedding shoes, and I started them tonight!!! I’m super excited about how they turned out and can’t wait to get them done!
Here are the supplies I purchased and am using:
-paint brushes: 2 small tapered brushes/2 small flat brushes
-2 large packs (3.53oz) of 10/0 Rocaille Beads- S/L Silver by: Darice Craft Designer
-2 small packs (0.705oz./pckg) Glass 2 Cut Silver Lined Beads Silver by: Darice Craft Designer
-6 Pack of Aluminum Jars: to store beads in
(all supplies were purcahsed at my local craft store…Crafts 2000)
And here are my shoes!!! (Before and After)
All I did was got a paper plate, put all of my beads into the containers, but mixed the two types of beads together evenly. Then to apply the glue, I used the flat brush to coat small sections at a time with a thin layer of glue. Then I sprinkled beads onto the small area of glue and lightly pressed down and pressed the beads together. I worked my way around in small areas, and to fill in bare spots, I used one of the finer tipped brushes, put a little glue on the tip, and filled in the spot then applied a bead or two. Then of course, I’m letting them dry, and am going to finish them this coming week.
I’ll definitely post pics after I get them finished!! =)
