(Closed) Starting 30 Day Shred. Any tips? Do I need any equipment?

You’ll need a yoga mat and some light hand weights (3-5 lbs). My biggest tip would be to do MORE than her cooldown at the end. I find the cooldown is WAY too short, so after you turn it off make sure you do a few more minutes of stretching. Otherwise, my other advice is that yes it’s hard, but it gets better the more you do it. I love it!

It’s a lot of fun and a great workout. Definitely start with the 3 lbs weights your first time. It doesn’t sound like much, but you’ll feel it! Also, maybe have some Advil on hand for the next day (or day after) when you start to feel sooooore 🙂

Don’t forget the water… oh and i need a candy or gum to keep my mouth from being to dry. but it is a pretty great workout…. good luck!!!

I used to use both the 3 and 5 pound weights during the workout and swapped them out as I needed to.  If you aren’t used to working out at all, you might want to try the movements without the weights – just to kick start things.  

It does get easier after a few times and the key is consistency!
