Soooo I bought the 30 day shred last night and I’m SO excited about starting it tonight! For the bees who have done it, was it really challenging? I’m going to try to get FI to do it with me so I want to make sure its not toooo easy. Plus I’m a regular runner so I hope I like it so I’m looking for something different to alternate with 🙂

Good luck with it! I only did up to Level 1 but I wasn’t crazy about it. It was really killing my asthma though.

Have you been lifting weights?

I started two days ago and I am in pain. I now call Jillian “the mean lady”

@lefeymw: No I don’t lift weights, I do push ups but not really consistently =/. One of the reasons I want to do this is to get more tone.
@LGenz: LOL I have a feeling I’ll feel the same way towards her. I love doing workout DVDs but I always end up hating the trainier in them! I did a round of p90x a while back and hated Tony Horton, whenever I see him in an advertisement or anything now I get angry towards him haha
@MrsSaltWaterTaffy: Yikes! Hopefully we make it through!

The first time I did it, I thought it was pretty easy, that was until the next day and I was so sore! It’s good for a quick workout.

@Running Elley: you will probably be challenged because cross functional fitness combined with strength training is very different from steady state cardio like running, but I am sure you will be just fine! Stick with it.

I did it and was definetly sore the next day. I plan on restarting this week.

Good luck! She is mean, but if you do it for a month or more, you will really see results!
I did level 1 for 2 months, and then within the next month got to level 3. Level 3 is the real b!tch. I think Jillian says in the third cardio circuit of level 3: “I want you to feel like you’re going to die.”
If you have time to add in a longer workout, I recommend Jillian’s “No More Trouble Zones” once a week or so.

I did it for about 5 days. Was so sore I could barely move. I didn’t really like it. But with all that said I will be starting it again tomorrow! Good luck!

i did it for one day and never did it again. i couldn’t walk for 3 days afterwards. i figured that couldn’t be good. i have terrible knees and it destroyed me.

i am only on day 2 (level one) but i do like it… im not in the best shape, i do zumba and i lasted 5 weeks with p90x but i definately need some work…. im not gonna lie… im sore. like really sore! but that just means its working i guess 🙂 good luck!

I have no cardio endurance, so 30 seconds of jumping jacks felt like hell to me. I did see really nice results though. I usually alternate between Level 1 (more challenging cardio for me) and Level 3 (harder abs). The moves in Level 2 are not great for my crappy knees.

It was really hard for me. I never even got past level 1!

I just finished it!!! I really liked it…it wasn’t super super tough but I was definitely feeling it, even just at level one! I’m excited to see how it goes! I like how she incorporates everything. Day 2 tomorrow. hopefully I can walk!
