cleanses wreak havoc on your body. most doctors will tell you to stay far away from them.

Your body naturally cleanses itself, cleanses like that can cause imbalances in nutrients and electrolytes and the only weight you really lose is water weight.

@kitzy: Completely agree with you.  We just read something about this not too long ago.

If you want to cleanse, try just doing fruits and veggies as snacks during the day with great healthy meals.

I tried one…..but felt like I was missing my dairy too much.  Lost a bit of weight and kept it off for a while until I got stressed and stuff my face.

@nycbrde2011: It depends on the cleanse. I actually like doing them. When I’m having a hard time getting back into eating right and loosing weight I usually will do a 14 or 30 days cleanse and then tone up. I find the cleanse makes me feel better in the long run (not during) and it helps to reduce my appetite by reducing my food in take.

It’s really important to keep your nutrients up during a cleanse though so if you do go ahead with it I reccomend taking supplements or a multi-vitamin as well as a protein supplement througout the day. I like to substitute breakfast with a high protein, low calorie whey powder shake while doing a cleanse. As long as you make sure to start on a really healthy diet once the cleanse is done then it will work wonders for you. Just don’t be disappointed when you put on a few pounds of water weight when you’re done your cleanse, it’s completely normal.

Yes, some cleanses are actually good for you because you can have a build up. But I think I did the cleanse you are doing and it just didn’t work at all for me. I hope it works better for you!

The best cleanse is to eat non-processed foods and go the bathroom reguarly (preferably organic but it can get pricey).

If you dont put the chemicals into your body then you dont need to clean them out. You body is very well designed and that organ called the kidney does a great job of cleaning your body!  Going the bathroom eliminates the waste.

I actually took one, if the one you are taking says as seen on tv on it then its the same one. I bought mine at the vitamin shop but it seemed like the best one & the best price.. I lost 2lbs, but you most definitely are “cleansing” yourself after every single meal if you know what I mean. My fiance had read in one of his workout magazines that they are good if you are about to start working out/exercising because it’ll somewhat jump start it.
