Going to kick my butt into high gear! I joined her website too, it was cheaper than weight watcher's and has an awesome personalized fitness plan, for when I am done the shred! Anyone else starting?? Succes stories? Motivation? :)

I'm debating on starting it. Hopefully you can provide some updates as to how it's going? The problem for me is I hate exercising, so if something becomes to monotonous I give up very quickly. I've had two friends do it though and they got great results. One lost 12lbs (she didn't have much to lose) and the other lost 23lbs but was incorporating with alot of cardio at the gym too. I love JM, she's so likable and I love her balls to the wall attitude lol.

BE WARNED: she's such a bitch!! lol My favorite quote from the 30 day shred is "If you feel like you're dying, GOOD! keep going!!"

As tough as she is, I did really enjoy the DVD, and felt like it helped me. I lost about 5  pounds the first (and only : ( ) week that I did it. I'm starting it up again next week though!!

    Good luck!

I will be starting it tomorrow! I didn't join her online thing, but will try to eat healthy in general. My resolution was to get through all 30 days.

I have to start again. I had great success with it before the wedding and then fell off the wagon after, lol! I have a serious love/hate for her but once I get into the routine of it I know I'll be fine.

I don't find her too bad, however ask me in a week and I may change my mind! I am also mixing in an hour long aqua aerobics class once a week as well. I decided just to go for it and do her website, it has some really tasty sounding recipes I am excited to try. I will add updates for sure! Keep posting :)

Ive owned her DVD's for a few years and I LOVE them. I plan on doing them hardcore to get back in shape. They work wonders for me and I combine them with the website 3fatchicks.com to stay on track along with my "loseit" app on my phone.

My fiance and I have done it for a week so far and it kills me! I was so sore but I lost 3 pounds in a week so it definitely works.

Jillian is a beast!!  I find that I get really annoyed by day 4 or 5 of each week so I just move on to the next week.  And I never follow her meal plans, but I do enjoy her workouts!  Keep up the good work, ladies!!

I have the dvd but I don't have the motivation. I need to lose almost 20 lbs in the next 3 months for my dress alterations though so motivation is sneaking up behind me! lol

I just bought the DVD and did the first workout today!  It was pretty good and I bet I'll be sore tomorrow.  My only concern is that the workouts are only 20 min long.  I will have to start adding other workouts in as well like walking or elliptical but I am afraid ill burn out.  My wedding is in Sept. and I only have 10lbs to loose max! what do you think Bees?  Was it easy to stick with, did it burn you out?

@FutureMrsRitchey: Just a yoga mat and a set of small hand weights. I think mine are 3lb weights, which seem really light at first, but as I get into it I can hardly wait to put them down, LOL!

@BOSOX11:  The first time I did it, it was about 3-4 months before my wedding and went down about 2 dress sizes (and a cup size from all the chest flies and push ups). I did it 3 times a week and alternated between the different levels when I got bored. It's only 20 minutes and I hate working out, so it worked well for me.

On another note, oh man my arms hurt today from those chest flies!!! My thighs are sore too, but I thought it would be worse.

I can't do the 30 day shred like they say to do, my muscles need time to recover inbetween workouts!!  lol  But I do like throwing in some J.Mike (yea, I gave her a nickname) now and again, although most of the time I end up yelling at my tv saying she's a bitch....

I find that the shred dvd misses some crucial muscles (the back gets pretty neglected) so I like Kathy Smith's dvd's she has a great 20 minute upper body workout that really does get the WHOLE upper body. :)

So, I did two days of shred, and just finished my aqua aerobics class! I think the water is my favourite but it is such a hassle to go to the pool and have to shower off all the chlorine all the time. I would commit more time to that if I wasn't so damn lazy! But I will continue to do it once a week. So far, after three days and eating mostly off her recommended foods (not quite the exact recipes) I have lost 3lbs.! I know a lb. a day isn't actually realistic, but I can dream :)

I was fine doing level 1.  I didn't even want to kill myself.  Then I did level 2 and developed a new hatred for her and took up Zumba.

@bakerella: It sounds great- but I have a lot to lose. I know typically it's easier to lose a ton of weight it is the last 15 lbs. that is tough! Although I wouldn't mind being at the point where it is only 15lbs. I am worried about Tongue Out

@bakerella: I was doing her workouts on On Demand.  I still haven't broken down and bought the DVD yet.  I'm in LOVE with my TurboJam and my Zumba and even my Julianne Hough Cardio Dance DVD's so I'm still trying to avoid the pain and torture of 30 Day Shred even though I can get it done in half the time.  I'd almost rather spend the extra 20 minutes than feel the wave of nausea rush over me every time I work out.  There's something about lunges and burpees and lifting weights while also working my lower body that brings up my gag reflex.

I started it yesterday, and paid the price for it today! I'm going to try to stick to it for the rest of January and hope to see some results.

@bakerella: Great tip! I'll have to check out level 3 if I get bored of level 1!

I just finished Day 6 (I'm doing 10 days on each level, so I'm on level 1). I find it challenging but not impossible, and I'm already noticing some changes in my body. I did gain some weight the first few days, but I seem to be slimming down around my waist/abdomen, so I am sticking with it!

I usually rotate her 30DS dvd with her Banish Fat Boost Metabolism dvd. Its about 50 minutes long and hits all the major muscle groups much better. Its a wayyy more difficult workout though.

I lost a total of 6lbs. this week, but I ended up doing two days of water aerobics instead of one because I really enjoy them.I should really take my measurements too! Anyone else had a good week?

I started 30 day shred on Saturday. So, today is my third day of doing it. I am so sore. But i keep going. I almost completed the entire work out. I only took about 3 five second breaks. Hopefully by the end of the week I can move on to level 2. I am 5'2" at 168.8lbs. My goal weight is 120lbs by my wedding in June. Realistic? I don't know. I haven't followed her food suggestions. I've been eating alot of salads and fruit though and only water. I also have been on my treadmill doing intervals of walking and jogging for 4 miles, which I burn 400 calories (Nike+ sensor for ipod). Keep it up. I love hearing success stories and hard work because it pushes me to do more. Thanks!, Oh, and in these three days, I haven't lost anything yet (0.4 lbs). So, hopefully by Saturday (my 1 week) I would have lost something. I'm shooting for 3 lbs a week. Thus far, failing. haha

I started today!! Man, did she kick my butt - I had to stop twice!

I've tried the Shred before but haven't really been successful. I think the longest I ever did it was for about 2 weeks last summer - this time I'm going to start slow instead of doing it every day (I got bored with it last time, even with the different levels). I'm thinking of doing it 3 times a week, along with another 2-3 days a week of some simple cardio on the treadmill.

I'm embarrassed that level 1 kicked by tail so much.

I did the shred at this time last year. I did each level for 10 days, some days I would repeat the level or do one I have already completed (doing it twice a day when I was comfortable with it). I was on a diet of 1200 calories and high in protein. I lost 16 pounds in a month and a half. I gained it all back unfortunately (stupid work stress!), but the shred is awesome. I plan on starting it again this week, but I will be doing major time on an elliptical too so I don't bulk up as much as I did last year. Her banish fat boost metabolism Dvd is great too for extra feel like your going to die cardio. 6 Week 6 pack is no joke either!
