- Wedding: December 2013
Hello, I’m new and thought I’d introduce myself v quickly (although I’ve already posted on two threads).
I’m 34 and my husband is 30; we’ve been together 3.5 years and married for 10 months. We have recently decided to TTC as we have both recently learned the hard way that putting things off can mean never getting the opportunity to do them at all. I’m also concerned about my age and the fact that I have hypothyroidism. I’ve already had my first doc appointment and have had my medication and TSH levels checked, a cervical screening and started folic acid supplements.
I am a naturally anxious person so I’m not going to temp/chart nor are we telling our families that we are TTC. I know my mum has been excited about the prospect since the second the marriage ceremony was concluded and the register signed. My husband’s parents, despite having 5 children (all adults now) between them (they’ve both been married twice) have made it clear they won’t support any pregnancy news from us.
I’m so excited and utterly terrified about this journey we’ve just started. I’m scared I won’t know how to be a mummy. My husband however is ecstatic and we haven’t actually ‘tried’ yet. AF is about to arrive, I’m sick with the flu and need to let my new medication settle So hopefully going to try in December.
Id welcome any advice or tips etc and also wanted to say hi 🙂
