So, this week I’ve been actively paging through some wedding books (right in front of Mr.TKE, of course). Then I went to shower, came back, and he says: so, find anything interesting in there? I answer: in the shower?. No, in those books!
So, Mr.TKE is now interested in planning our wedding! I’m super excited! We actually went to crafty/wedding place and he dragged me away from scrap-booking stuff to look at wedding stuff () and pointed out that he like the color combo teal and brown!
Of course those are my 2 favorite colors and it wasn’t like pulling tooth and nail, he volunteered this information! So, I think I can actively start planning my wedding now!
Did you FI/DH/SO surprise you when he suddenly got interested in planning your wedding?
p.s. Oh, and in case you didn’t notice, we moved out date back to spring of 2013, which I think is one of the best decisions we’ve made!
ETA: I just showed my dress to FMIL and she LOVES it! *score*

@MmeSilverBullet: YAY! How exciting! =) I love when FI seems interested, but most of the time he’s not. He leaves everything to me really.

Yay! 🙂 Congrats!! My DH was never into the wedding planning. He had final say in everything, as in did it pass the “how much?” test. LOL. He was great with helping me with all the DIY crafts though….he’s actually A LOT better at crafts than I am! Who knew?!

That’s awesome! My fiance has bursts of interest that come at odd times and about odd things (like an elephant shaped cake) but it’s super nice when you haev a partner in planning. And congrats on the dress!

I’ve been really surprised by how opinionated my fiance has been. He has to have a say in everything, even the table linens haha! Most men I know don’t care about the planning part. So we are lucky! 🙂

@yellowshoe: I don’t think I have to worry about him and crafts. All of my friends (including my mom and FMIL have asked to help with all my crafty things!…and I wouldn’t trust this to him, but don’t tell him that ).
@JenGirl: Yea, he’d doing that, too. But most of the time, it’s a complete joke (hopefully). And thank you, I was very nervous about FMIL hating my dress!

Oh, and I forgot to mention my FMIL showed me her wedding dress and her mother’s wedding dress (from 1943!). It was a very touching moment, that I will not soon forget 🙂
