@lilnloud3: Hello, I would have to say that your first step would be to decide if you want indoor or outdoor reception and/or ceremony. I don't think that you are reaching for the clouds it is definitely possible to have a beautiful wedding for a 20K budget in NYC with a little help and some hard work it is possible.

why dont you check out my wedding planner. she specializes in beautiful weddings on a budget. my budget is alittle extreme, $5,000, but thats because of medical reasons. how ever i have to say she is pulling it off quite beautifully! check her out maybe she can help you too!

Hello! My fiance and I are beginning to start planning our wedding. We live on long island looking to have our reception in either NYC or LIC. WEWe plan on having approx 150 people. Our budget, yet not concrete is around $20k. I know that does not give us much to work with. Any help or pointing in the right direction I can get would be awesome! I am so not one of those girls who just want to plan a wedding. Although I am beginning to become excited for the actual planning I find the entire process to be very overwhelming. I am very hands on and will be doing some thin my own (DIY) to save some money. I guess the first question I need answered is... Is it even possible to throw a perfect wedding in NYC for our budget or are we reaching in the clouds? Also we are very open to places which are different or unconventional (not only looking for hotels and halls) reach in your imagination and help me get this ball rolling.....looking forward to seeing your responses... PLEASE HELP
