i heart that!!!
I didnt end up doing a statement necklace, but i def considered it...ended up going with two necklaces, layered...something old, something new-style!!
I'm hoping to get the mother in laws pearls gifted to me (the SO has told me to expect them) but if not, I'm getting one of the awesome necklaces from Banana Republic or Piper Lime.
wowww...that is sooo pretty!! anthro has such great stuff!!
Gorgeous necklace! It will definitely make a beautiful addition to a simple streamlined dress.
Have you bought the necklace already? I have tried two different statement necklaces with my dress and neither looked quite right.
I suppose you could say I'm wearing a bold necklace. My dress is also very, very simple. And I'm not a pearls/diamonds kind of girl. My jewelry is from J. Crew...I'll probably just wear the necklace bI think the matching earrings are beautiful.

OMG Mackiekenzie, I looked at that same necklace last week! I saw it on a news anchor on good morning america and thought it looked great! then I popped into J. Crew the other day and there it was!
great choice!!
Your necklace ideas is great. It's beautiful. Of course, everything from Anthropology is. My dress is really fancy...well, at least I think it is. It is all lace and has some shimmer. I want a simple necklace and earrings for the ceremony. Then I was thinking it would be fun to dress it for the reception with some bright chandelier earrings with no necklace for the reception.
by the way...this is my dress...
it is being custom designed. my dress will be made with silk tafetta, a softened neckline and a little more gather under the bodice.
Ahh! That necklace is gorgeous! I would love to do something like that! How fun! I haven't picked out my dress yet, so we will see. How are you thinking of doing your hair?
I am thinking about doing something loose and messy-ish. With a bird cage veil and a peacock feather detail kind of like this
How pretty!! If I were wearing a plain dress, I would consider a statement necklace, but I'm wearing a very ornate Kenneth Pool gown and wearing the pearls that my Grandma wore on her wedding day 65 years ago.
That necklace is STUNNING!
I am not wearing a statement necklace, but my bridesmaids are.
I'm totally in love with this Oscar de la Renta beauty but at 500$ it is way out of my price range. Has anybody seen something similar at a mor affordable price?
I've seen a few posts with bees planning on wearing a "statement" necklace. I think if your dress is simple it could really add a lot to your look. You should take a look at some of the pendants on Hearts on Fire if you're looking for diamonds.

The very first thing that I decided about my wedding is that I had to wear a big, chunky statement necklace. I thought I wanted something colorful, but I think this one from Anthropolgie is really pretty. My dress is plain, with no embellishments, so I don't think the necklace will be overwhelming.
Are any other Bees wearing bold jewelry on their big day?
