I don't know how affordable they are, but Papyrus and M. Hopple over in the Kenwood Mall area have very pretty invitations and stationery. I think the cost depends a lot on the designer and how elaborate you'd like your invites to be. There are a few others that I know about, and if I can find my list, I'll try to post those on here sometime soon. Does distance from your house matter at all?
Also, have you tried weddingpaperdivas.com and other online invitation websites? My college roomie did her those them and they looked amazing. :) I think their prices are pretty reasonable too!
