Oh congrats and I love that he propose under a chopper. Enjoy your soon coming wedding. Age is just a number my b/f is six years older than me and I nor does anyone else care.
I am still pretty new to the town I moved to in order to start my life with him. I didn't know this town had a war memorial! Now I do!
I am so excited! I'm ready for this day. I never thought I'd say that at the beginning of all of this, but I am so ready! He and I both have waited a year to marry eachother. We both knew very quickly after meeting that we wanted to marry!
Thanks for all of the "Congrats!" I'm glad I can tell my story and there are still people that don't bad mouth me for making the choice I did. (Yes, that's part of the reason I left the town I grew up in)

I met Jeff on a dating site. I'd tried before with these and hadn't had much luck...until I met Mr. Statzer! What a great country guy he is!!! I had seen his picture (tiny as could be) and HAD to get a closer look. There he was on horseback in his cowboy hat! I had aways wanted a good country guy in my life! We'd talked for about a week and decided to meet. I'd been through hell less than a month earlier. I'd been a serious car accident and the man I was talking to at the time was in CA. I'd also gotten a viral infection which landed me in the hospital. I got the worst news of my life. My 95 year old great uncle had passed away and services were that week. Jeff was such a great support! He said "take all the time you need to heal. I'll be here." We finally met and had dinner. Then we stayed out all night talking in his truck! My parents were worried sick.....lol. The next morning he called me and said "I have to see you."
After a year of dating and some trials we decided we wanted to get married. We had gone out to dinner for our one year mark and he'd given me flowers. I'd just had a feeling he was going to choose that night to propose. We had finished dinner and I noticed he was just driving around downtown in circles. I asked him "what are you looking for?" He said "A spot to pull over without getting a ticket" I had no idea! He chose the local war memorial! Under the chopper he got down on one knee and asked me and of course I said YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Needless to say, I had to go through a lot to be with him. Not to mention my family didn't like the fact that he was 20 years my senior, but they've gotten over that fact. We are set to marry in 8 days!!
