Hi all - I went back to work part time after my son was born, and then left the company in July when they wanted me back full time. I spent the next month doing some freelance work, and then have had about one project a month to work on (which has been about 6-50 hours, total) since that time.

I'm starting to go crazy! I'm a busy person, by nature, and it's hard getting out of the house with a toddler, not to mention its getting cold. Also, the lack of adult interaction is starting to kill me - we have joined playgroups and music classes, but it's not enough.

Anyone in a similar place, or have advice?

I understand needing to stay busy! I'm the kind of person who can stay busy doing nothing!! I like to clean and organize and can spend lots of days just doing that. My husband and I joke that I'm "TTM" which is to the max in whatever I do. Now that it is getting colder I have signed up for parent/child swim classes for myself and my 7 month old DD. I don't know if it appeals to you at all but a new hobby might help? scrapbooking, working out, etsy store, couponing, cooking, etc all can keep you pretty busy. Or could you continue to do freelance and get a part time job as well? I know a few friends of mine work very limited hours but it does get them out of the house a little bit. Or volunteering a few hours a week

Consider taking a class.  I love taking class at my local college.  It is all ages.
