I was born with very light blonde hair which has (like many) gradually darkened over the years. However, I have always maintained my ‘blondeness’ through getting foils done.
I have a very ‘young’ face and am turning 27 next week. I know that I am still young, but I often get mistaken for being in my teens or early 20’s…which in my professional role, gets on my nerves sometimes!
I am considering becoming a brunette (chocolate brown) for a change. I have researched quite a bit and I know that getting my blonde back will take potentially up to a year if I change my mind…and this is what is making me hesitant. On the otherhand, it’s only hair!
The following 2 pics are computer generated using a virtual makeover tool. My hair is much more of a natural blonde that this pic, so I’ve included a real pic of me at the bottom.
So guys, what do you think? Should I take the plunge?!
Thank you for your opinions!

It’s probably my phone but the blonde in your real pic looks very ashy so it shows as grayish to me. I really like the brunette so my vote is for dark. I think you will look younger also : )

I think you should do a light golden brown! I think it would look best on you, for sure. Plus, it’d be easier to get back to blonde if you wanted to. The thing is, all dye fades. So if you put in a medium golden brown (for example), it’d go dark brown at first, but would lighten up over time and eventually fade to a light/medium brown.
Whatever you do, I think you should start slowly. If you want medium/dark brown then just start out with a light brown and gradually go darker if you like it. Blonde definitely looks good on you, but sometimes you just need to change and you’ll never stop thinking about it until you do it. Sometimes it works out and sometimes it doesn’t, but at least you’ll know!

This is probably a more accurate pic of my current hair. Thank you for your opinions so far 🙂
