That's what we're doing. I've heard that it's way too tiring to try to leave right after the reception. Get a nice hotel room, and leave the next day. Have your family pick up your things and close out the room after you guys leave, maybe!
You can likely leave your bags with the front desk and have someone pick stuff up the day you check out. Or, who knows, maybe they can hold it longer for you so you can pick it up post-honeymoon. Don't task yourself with anything - you'll have enough on your hands as is!
We actually plan to crash at a hotel two nights before we jet off anywhere!
We did this, but we didn't really attempt to take "get away" photos. Do you mean pics of you leaving the reception or actually leaving for your honeymoon? Couldn't you just take some pics leaving the reception (for the hotel room)? We took our stuff back to our house the next morning (we weren't leaving for our honeymoon until later in the day) so it wasn't that hard. If you can't bring it home yourself, I'd probably ask a family member or good friend to pick up your items. It's likely his tux is going to be due back and you don't want to chance the hotel losing your wedding dress.
Yeah, i meant pics of us leaving the reception. I cant bring home the goods so im working it out so my mom will pick up the dress/suit before we leave. I didnt think about the hotel losing anything but i was pretty paranoid about leaving all the stuff with them since they ARE just a hotel... super fancy or not super fancy.. i dont know any of them lol

I guess im stressing out about this too much, but i have a house and after the wedding me and my fiance were planning on coming back home and then his parents were going to take us to the airport the next morning at 8 in the morning.
Well the company that i am working for is offering us a really nice hotel room and i guess im just sorta confused. On the getaway pictures i would llike to be in my wedding dress all bridey but... if we stay at the hotel then we will have to change befoer leaving. Or can the hotel just hold our dress/suit for someone to pick up the next day?
Did anyone stay at a hotel the night of their wedding and then jet off the next morning after? Was it as confusing for you as it seems to be to me?
